Hi everyone
I'm Sue and at 55 years old I weigh more than I've ever done. My first weigh in last Sunday was a shocking 286 lb.Shock
I love my food and I enjoy cooking when I'm not at work. I also love red wine -probably a recipe for disaster weight wise. Like most people I start off dieting with good intentions and then somewhere along the way I start to slide - I imagine most of you have been there, done that.
I have learned one thing over the years and that is to have any sort of chance of success I need to be organised and I need to share the ups and downs of losing weight with others in the same boat.
Anyway I'm here to laugh, cheer and cry with the rest of you. I'll post again on Sunday after my first weekly weigh in.
Wishing you all a happy, skinny day.
Sue

Hi Sue
I weighed 325 when I first started a couple of months ago. I weigh 315 today.I am 50 years old and have been on every diet possible including lapband .I had that removed 2 years ago because it slipped. well anyway I have been diagnosed with kidney cancer 10 days ago and the doctor is more worried about my weight than the cancer. i am having my surgery 6/5 so I have to do my best to lose allot a weight before surgery. what a wake up call when here I was worried about the cancer and the doctor is worried about the weight. Anyway I am here also to laugh and cry with nyone who will with me.

Help! I need to lose about 125 pounds. I have struggled to lose weight ever since my second pregnancy. That was 30 years ago!!! I need support and I don't want to be made to feel I am on the wrong diet. I feel that everyone has to find their own way in their weight loss journey. Whatever works best for me may not be the next person"s cup of tea. I am on the Zone Diet. You may be familiar with Manual Uribe from Mexico. He weighed 1300 pounds and lost over 800 pounds using the Zone Diet.I hace only in the last week reached the point where I understand the different components of the diet so this week I should do much better. Umfortunately there is no active support in the Zoners group so I am looking forward to sharing with this group. I will be happy to give support. I know it means so much to have it.
Stay strong, stay focused.

How much weight do you need to lose before the surgery? What kind of diet? Just know you have my support and best wishes.
