Hi, Yes I am new to this group too. Im hoping to stick to this, this is my last chance as Ive tried everything else but keep failing, serious lack of willpower.. I have the application on my smart phone now as well so easy for me to update what I eat.. Gonna be a long haul as loads to lose but hey, new year new us hopefully. x

Yes, I just joined too, still finding my way about the site.

I suggest you start by logging all your foods and drinks on here. That will keep you accountable. I have over 200lb to lose.
Hyperinsulinaemic, carboholic and serial failed dieter!

^Exactly that.

I have logged all my food on this site (apart from holidays when I didn't have internet access) and it has definitely kept me on track. If you have a smart phone, I highly recommend using the app as well!

If the amount of knowledge I have about how to lose weight were directly proportional to pounds lost then I would be a very slender 50 year old. But, it isn't. I have been stuck at just under the 300 lb mark for many months. I go see a nutritionist once a week to weigh in and talk about things but I have been having the hardest time getting motivated to keep a food diary and keep track of my calorie intake. I know from experience that journalling is the only way I lose weight. Well, I got a tablet for Christmas and I take it almost everywhere so I have re-dedicated myself to faithfully logging every I eat. I want to be able to play with my grandchildren when I have them and enjoy life and being this heavy really stinks. Like probably all of you I've lost weight some weight before only to have it come back and bring friends. I'm determined not to do that again.

jhshaw1962, it's great to hear that technology has helped you get back on track. I honestly don't think I could have lost so much without using technology to help me. It's great to be able to log my food so easily at any time.

It's just become habit now to quickly whip out my phone and punch in that coffee I had when I met up with my friends, or quickly add the dinner that I'm about to order in a restaurant.

It has seriously changed my life!
