Group Forum: How many times a day do you eat?

I've found I have great success losing weight by eating 6 times a day -- about every two to three hours. It stablilizes my blood sugar and I know that's my key to success. What you about all?

I have lost weight both by Atkins and a body builder type diet, eating small meals six times a day. When I did Atkins I was not very active and found it difficult to lift heavy weights in the gym.

Going with six meals a day. I do find it can be hard to eat all the food you are supposed to. That is a good thing.

I have found that I work best by paying attention to my hunger signals. I stop eating when I'm no longer hungry, and if I'm hungry then I eat.

As a result I tend to eat little and often, about 5-7 times a day. I figure my body knows better than I do and I've just been ignoring it for too long. So far it's been a great success!

I just started the Slim Fast 3-2-1 plan, so I'm eating 6-7 times per day. So far, I haven't been hungry or felt deprived.

I eat anywhere from 3 to 6 times a day...I do feel better when I eat 6 times bc usually the 3 meals are bigger. I'm still getting use to smaller is better rather than BIGGER is better.

I just started my 10 week journey with Farrell's Extreme Bodyshaping. One of the main components of the program is the nutrition part which has you eating six small meals per day. I'm actually doing better with this than I thought and it has helped up my metabolism. The biggest thing is that you eat the correct amount of protein and carbs each meal. For me {weighing in at 300lbs with a bmi of 46.8} my protein is 17 grams per meal and my carbs are 50 grams per meal.

I am doing the Zone Diet. I have three meals and 2 snacks. One protein and complex carb snack is planned late afternoon, the other before bed.
