I reckon you're on the right track for a lifelong "plan"
Portion control is definitely key. Weighless is good. I've done it a few times but never stuck it out long enough to get to goal. This time I chose Atkins after experimenting with carbs and noticing the marked difference in how I felt when I cut them out. Also, I just could not go back to weighing everything as strictly as WL requires. WL is slow but it's steady, safe and very, very balanced. If your wife hasn't already she should check out the facebook group - an awesome group of people and loads of very active contributors. Atkins has taken some tweaking. In the beginning I misinterpreted quite a bit and wasn't seeing losses. I believe I've been properly on track for about 10 days now and have lost 1.5Kgs. Would be awesome to see the losses that others report I am hypothyroid wich results in very slow losses so I'm very happy with that
