I think thin feels like- no stomach getting in the way when you bend over, or your boobs not sitting on your stomach, and not because you have a bad bra either.Thin to me feels like, no armour, I can hide behind the fat and no one looks at me. 35.95 BMI, just wanted to put that out there, I'd really like to know what thin is.Is 132 lbs, which is my goal so far, is that thin? I'm 5 ft 3in, will i be considered thin by people? i have absolutely no idea.

I am 5ft 2in and my goal weight is 135. I was at 180lb and have lost 20lb. I already feel thin. I didn't decide to lose weight because I cared about what others thought about me. I want to be able to go up and down stairs again without feeling winded. I want to look and feel more like I did 8 years ago. I definitely feel like when I reach 135 I will feel thin and that is what is most important to me.

Hi,
I am new to this group, but I have read most of the posts.

I think I will feel thin when I do not look pregnant. My belly is almost as big as my boobs, so that makes it hard to find decent clothes to wear. Even though I have lost about 10 pounds over the last 2 months it seems to be coming from my fingers and toes. Smile
So I will know I am thin when I do not have a big belly anymore.

I think I will feel thin at 125. I lost down to 115 the last time I was truly following this lifestyle, but my doctor does not think I need to lose that much this time. (He says we can reevaluate when I get to 125. I'm not sure he believed that I was going to stick to this.) I do not want to be bony like I once was, where my collar bone and hip bones stuck out. I want to look healthy. I don't have to look like an airbrushed swim suit model to feel thin.

I am 4'9" and coming down from 153, my heaviest weight in my lifetime. I guess I got carried away with my new found freedom of doing absolutely nothing. I will feel thin when I reach 120. I was 120 before I had my child who is now 6 and I felt great and confident before the pregancy. However, my bmi claims I will still be overweight. Sooo with that said, even though my original goal is to get under 110 which is suppose to be a healthy bmi and weight for my height. I think 120 is an awesome number and I cant wait to see it.

I am 4ft9, thin to me is when I become 90 or 88lbs which is a HEALTHY BMI for me, thin to me is also the day that I will have a flat stomach and be able to see my feet in the shower. I am now 105lbs having gone down from 123lbs which made me bordline overweight with a bmi of 26.6. Smile

I feel thin between 90-92 lbs. which I know is not healthy. My doctor is ok with me at 94 but everyone would like to see me at 96. I think I will have a very hard time feeling thin at that weight. My point is it's all in your mind. I'm sure some people would feel great at 96. I'm trying to start each day saying "I am thin and I like my body" hoping it'll stick. I'm training for a full marathon so I have to get this under control before then hopefully under the care of my nutritionist, doctor and trainer I will feel thin.

Thin feels like a can take off my coverup at the beach. Thin feels like I don't have a care in my TaeKwonDo uniform (white and form fitting). Thin feels like I'm being watched for my body, not just my great personality (I am a bit vain and have a great sense of humor). Thin feels like my kids aren't embarrassed to be seen with me, anywhere.

Yes,thin is not embarassing your kids in public,my son is in the Air Force, I have yet to see him on the base, no one is fat there! He learned to eat better before I did. Thin is feeling the bones you did't feel before, to me anyway.

Thin feels like being able to buy clothes that fit, that aren't tight in the bust and wasit and big everywhere else. Thin feels like touching my stomach and feeling firmness and flatness, not soft rolls. Thin feels like being able to put on a bathing suit to swim in public without shame.

I'm 5'3' and weigh 149--my goal is 135---normal---and that is what I want to be. But skinny,at my age would be 120, any thinner the wrinkles get worst and the skin hangs----or so I tell myself.

Thin to me is being in the middle of your healthy weight range. At 5'3'' my healthy weight range according to BMI would be between 105 and 140 lbs. At about 123 lbs, I would call myself thin... but I still believe that 140 lbs is great and if that's the weight you can maintain well that's perfect...

In 04/2010, my BMI was 35.6 (obese class 2). In 11/2011, my weight is now normal; what an accomplishment!

I am 111 lbs now, and I think I am fit but I would not say I am thin. I don't have any bones sticking out and I would say I am quite athletic. I think if I could be about 106 lbs I would be thin because I think losing 5 lbs would make a big difference to my body shape because I am so short. I think this is the worst time of year to try to lose weight but I am pretty determined, and I find Fat Secret so helpful!

I am not really looking at a weight anymore. I am still 145 and my goal weight is 130 but it is so hard. I've not lost any 'pounds' sincle last January but I've dropped from a size 16 to a size 9 and gone from Womens to Regular sizes.

My 'skinny' will be when I've lost enough weight that I can fit into junior jeans - even if it is a size 14.

I want to loose the pregnant look, too.
As long as you try, and try again, you will never fail. You never lose. The only way to truly fail is to quit.

What does thin feel like to me? Not having to try clothes on to decide what to wear, but just to look at them on the hanger and have the confidence that they'll fit & look just fine. I was 98lb about 10 yrs ago, and that's what I'm aiming for.
Being fat is hard. Getting fit is hard. The latter lasts a lifetime - the former SHORTENS your lifetime!

A 1-hour workout is only 4% of my day. If I have time to Facebook, I have time to workout.

Thin to me is when I stop the constant tugging at my shirt waist or strategically placing my forearms to hide my stomach. As it is my shirt will fold in on my rolls as I move throughout the day and without thinking I pull it out and attempt to smooth it. With the heat of my body, some shirts become creased and no amount of smoothing help.Thin will allow my brain to let go of that worry.
