Group Forum: Just finishing week 1 of P90x

My husband and I started P90x together last Saturday and we are feeling great! He is trying to bulk up and I am doing it to lose weight. After some of the workouts where I 'bring it' I don't feel super sore. Does that mean I'm getting stronger or should I push myself harder?

I would say for week 1 you are just fine. I've done multiple rounds and the very 1st time I tried to keep up with the guys on the video.. Mistake!! I couldn't move my arms or legs and struggled on week2. If this is your very 1st time, week1 should be learning the moves, and getting good form down. Then on week2 you can really bring it. Good luck and trust me, if you stick with it, great results will fall on your lap Smile

Just started week 2 today with my hubby for the same reasons as you guys. Both of us want a nap in the afternoon. Are going through carb withdrawals or is it getting up at 5:30AM. The workouts are hard, but not as intense as some of the other things we've done in the mornings, but the diet is tough!

Now on Week 3.5 and down almost 6 pounds!! Still sore and sometimes hungry (but a protein bar or shake does the trick), but the afternoon naps seem to be not needed anymore. Keep up the good work!
