I'm on one other UK group, but no one ever seems to post, so I thought I would find another one and here I am.

Hi Josie wlcome to the site!
I found it took a while to get used to the diet diary too, but now I find it really useful, particularly to see how many calories eaten compared to burned!

Hi I am from the UK but I have retired to Cyprus.I am on the Atkins diet and have lost 8lbs in nearly three weeks a bit disappointing as I usually lose much more but I guess it must be my age (61).Happily I am in the zone so shall carry on regardless.Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi all, it's really good to have a UK group! Thanks for setting this one up!
I've been counting calories for three weeks and despite eating less, I seem to have gained 0.5kg. Is it normal to gain a bit first? Seems a bit odd to me. I think I'll give it another week and see how it goes. I sure can't afford to be gaining with summer on the way...

Hi Marf. Don't get despondent when you go up or stand still for a while.
I've just shed 42lb (3st) since Jan 1st. It's about the sixth time in my life that I've had to endure this so I'm well versed in diets. It is normal to plateau, I've had 2 x 2 week plateau's this time but keep driving on.
Excersise is a key ingredient obviously. Now I'm down to target - 200lb, staying down is the new battle.

Hi everyone. I was always someone who was slim but 2 years ago I was a bit on the thin sided at 8 stone after an illness( I can't do pounds or kgs only stones) but, in the last year I've gained and gained and am 10 stone!!! I may not have a massive amount to lose (just over a stone) but since I started ''trying'' to lose weight I've found that, for the first time in my life, I can't!! And it scares me!!!
