f##k.

I could tell that my scale was screwy cuz my weight would take like a minute before registering, so i figured it needed new batteries.

I put in the new batteries and somehow they made me gain over 2 lbs... GrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

You might try resetting the scale Myles. Step on it and put some of your weight on the counter or wall so you read 50 pounds less or whatever, then get off and then reweigh yourself. I do that almost every morning.

Anything going on besides the hubbub this past week with the move to this site?

The good news is, it was a big bounce so you know it was all water weight Smile

Yup, this is what I do. Let the weight register about 50 pounds lighter. Then press down on the counter and let it go 50 pounds heavier. Then, check my real weight.

Every morning I usually weigh-in twice. Once when I first get up and then a bit later when I am sure I am absolutely as light as possible Surprised and usually I have to reset the scale for the second weigh-in.

Like this morning. My first weigh-in was 194. My second weigh-in was also 194, then I reset the scale, then my real weigh-in was 193.3.

Good morning everyone! It is nasty and rainy here in SC (I'm now just across the river from the Savannah area!) Moving has been crazy as I am still kinda in two places and my parents will be here from Tx in about 30 mins! They finally CAVED and have put their house on the market! WOOHOO!

I still don't have my scales here, i will grab those today while I am back at my house! I hope everyone has an awesome Sunday! Congrats on all the losses!! I'm gonna head to Savannah to see my parents!

I can tell I am having hormone related issues. I have not had issues like this before. I feel like I did when I was pregnant. (but, I cannot be pregnant) I am wondering if I am starting the "dreaded change: LOL

I weigh in twice too but my first thing in the morning weight is always lower.
I am worried that this will go on and I will not be able to lose.
Maybe it is just stress related? Do you guys, err, umm ladies, have more pms problems when you are dealing with stress?

Awww hopefully it's just been a rough month for you or something, although I guess it could be the dreaded change... if so, it'd be hitting you REALLY early, you poor thing *HUGS*

Usually when it's TOM for me, I try and increase my ACV intake (I go from 3 drinks a day to 4) and I increase my potassium supplement by 1 pill (99mg) and that seems to help me a lot. With my PCOS and stuff, I used to get HORRIBLE cramping and horrible bloating to where I'd put on 4-5 pounds or more just for that week in water Mad This past month I increased those supplements, I only gained 1 pound of water weight, the hunger seemed lessened (the ACV tonics help with that a LOT!) and I had absolutely no cramping whatsoever. That was like a miracle to me, because that's NEVER happened Laughing

I don't know if you use either one of those things (I know you'd have to watch the potassium if you were taking BP meds but I don't think you are) but they might help you if you're ever interested in looking into them Smile

Woo-hoo Darin! You definitely do bounce around a lot, but that's awesome progress from last week Smile Did you wind up decreasing your calories by 100 or so like you were mentioning you might on the other board before you took off from there? Or have you kept things the same a little longer?

Whatever you've been doing, it's obviously been working! Smile

Woohoo goal #1 - ACHIEVED! Very Happy

I'm convinced somehow that talking to Darin about feeling stuck is some sort of magical event for me or something... because each time I've done it, the day after I'm moving again! No complaints here, that's awesome Smile

I haven't gotten steady on it yet. The day I left the Other Place, I got sick as a dog from something I ate for lunch. I felt much better after a few hours so I ate a good sized calorie dinner. But I wasn't sure how to count lunch since it didn't stay with me for very long. I just zapped the lunch menu items off my log.

So that day I counted as about 1500 calories.

Since I was low that day I thought I'd take advantage of it and at about 1600 calories the next day to see what would happen. Instead of a big whoosh I got a big bounce lol.

Then I hit my new goal, then I went over and then yesterday I hit goal again.

So I am still trying get the adjustment in place consistently.

Smile

It is interesting, last Sunday I only had 800 calories. Thought I might see a loss. But I sure didn't. Been going up every since.
