Tenikilos - Yes, horrible couple of days but back on track. Now to lose the 4 lbs I put on. Already down 2 lbs with drinking lots of water. Yes, the "Y" is short for YMCA.

Soccer, it's awful when you slide off track, if you don't jump back on very quickly it's so much harder. My desert that I ate last Saturday made me put on weight, it is now Thursday and I am only just back to my pre cheat weight! I have stayed the same weight for 3 days now, I'm hoping for a drop by tomorrow morning for my Friday weigh in.
Almost, glad you got it sorted Smile

vaccuming this morning then off to paint for an exhibition coming up Smile

Good Morning,

Linda - I'm still trying to get back to my lower weight from last week, one day of family reunion, one week of getting back!

Seems like everyone is in the same boat. I wish we could lose as fast as we gain, wouldn't that be great. Another family reunion this weekend. I'm bringing a cooler and hopefully will stay the course.

Oh well, happy Thursday.

I just noticed my ticker is way off. I started at 236 and went down to 222 but it says 0 pounds lost. I know it's only 14 pounds but it took me so long, I want to shout it out! haha

Tenkilos - Two bad days at the beginning of this week has put me in a stall but that's ok. I've lost 2 of the 5 lbs (water weight I'm sure). Now to work on the next 3 to get back to pre-cheat weight and break the 180 mark, again.

I'm starting a squat/situp challenge on Aug 01st along with walking 3 days a week. I haven't exercised since starting Atkins and I know the weight and inches will come off once I start.

Huge atta girl for me....I was able to sit beside my husband eating cookie dough ice cream last night and not want any and sweets are my biggest weakness. Very Happy

Way to go SoccerMom! I never really liked sweets until I couldn't have them. You know, you always want what you can't have, right!?!?!

Totally agree Rdrunr! I'm a HUGE sweet eater and always have been. My sweet treats now are my coke zero (my must have once a day), atkins caramel cafe shake (LOVE), and my pumpkie pie muffins.

SoccorMom - I've been using Walden Farms Caramel syrup I my coffee. It gives me that sweet taste without going out of bounds. I can even add coconut oil and blend to make it frothie, if I need my fat totals up.

I have coconut oil that I use to saute with sometimes. Still experimenting with how and when to use it. I give it to your choc lab everyday for her dry skin. I've even put in on her coat before bathing her. Talk about an unbelievably soft coat.

Wow, never thought of using coconut oil on my yellow lab's coat before bathing him, that's a great idea! Thanks for the tip, SoccerMom!

Okaaaaaaaaay..
I don't cheat, I don't go off plan, I don't overeat, I'm under RDI MOST days, although I try not to even look at that. I've completely backed off of my Diet Coke and SF jello for the last 7 or 8 days and what? I am still walking 4 miles in an hour MOST days ( a few days a little less mileage, but still at 4mph) Still sitting at 150.4 to 152.8. Virtually NO weight loss for the month. Crazy, being that the preceeding 5 months I lost anywhere from 6.8 to 8.2 pounds doing the EXACT SAME THING.
I think I'll drop a personal note to Dr Atkins. This is NOT supposed to happen. Never happened before. I'm upping my green intake starting today.
I could say something ugly at this point. I couldn't even log in as we've had an internet failure for 3 days. I did write everything down including my walking but I'll never get it all logged here.
Finishing up my work season on Tuesday and we are off on our trip for two weeks. I have no worries. I'm never off plan. I never have any trouble doing what I'm supposed to do, but I really did want to lose that last 10 pounds by the end of August. Evidently I'm NOT in control of the weight loss at this point. I have no idea what's up and I'm not about to start guessing. I'm going to enjoy my vacation WITHOUT a scale and without logging because I KNOW what I'm doing, just my body doesn't. I'm still not registering ketosis even with a new bottle and still faithfully checking every day. I just don't have time to worry about it.... as LINDA said, "at least you're not gaining"... which is my take on the situation. I'll figure it out later. I've never know anyone to have to stick to under 20 net carbs for maintenance though, and I'll swear to you I've not reached 20 ANY day since January.
On to my next item. Some of you guys will be REAL interested in this (I think). Shopping today netted me a new item, that of course, will go unused. At 3.49 a half gallon I should try, but I've got to many problems already with this WOE to add any unknown to it. I bought it so I could post the info for you. Don't ask me how it tastes, I refuse to try it.
First, I purchased it at KROGER and it's a milk substitute, a KROGER product called CARBmaster. Next to the Heavy Whipping Cream at my store. (I thought I would use it to make alfredo in a better time but I just realized it's vanilla flavored)
DETAILS serving 8 fl oz (unbelievable) 60 cals, 0 fat 5 mg cholesterol 95 sod TOTAL CARBS 3, Fiber 0, sugars 3 Protein 11g (whoot hoot). Says" Enjoy vanilla carbmaster nonfat reduced sugar milk: add it to coffeeor tea, pour it over your favorite cereal; use in your fav recipes.
Let me know if anyone wants me to photo the carton for more info.
Sorry, I'm ranting and not keeping up with anyone else at the time... Looking to hear a report from Jen on the babything Smile Linda I can NOT do kilos, LOL, you have to give me a better guide... did you make your goal?
Give me 'til tonight and I'll read the old post and catch up with everyone else.. I just wanted to get the milk thing posted before I forgot...

TGIF!!! Thank heavens it's Friady! Down another 2 lbs of cheat weight. Only 2 to go to be back at pre-cheat weight.

Carb Tracker - The positive is like you said at least you are not gaining. I know it is discouraging when not losing but it is definietly better than the alternative. Have fun on your vacation.

Carb Tracker - when you are back from vacation you might want to try a fat fast....I have heard you loose a pound a day and it kicks you out of a plateau.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

CarbTracker, I drink the Kroger Carbmaster milk, and it's good! The vanilla version is too sweet for me, but the regular one is just right. I also eat the Kroger Carbmaster yogurt, which is 4 net carbs. Definitely staples for me. Keep the faith, my friend! It sounds like you are doing all the right things, and I am guessing you feel better regardless what the scale says. It will all come together. Have a fun, relaxing vacation!

I had a very physical week at work, and my eating habits weren't spot on. But I lost 1.5 pounds - probably because of physical activity. Think it's a good day to de-carb the cabinets a little, even if the kids love the cookies. Remove the opportunities!Smile

<badwordbadwordbadwordbadwordbadword>

I am seriously rolling my eyes. I finally just give in and drink my diet coke and just eat what I'm always eating and Friday I get up and lo and behold, my ketostix is turning the the tiniest tinge......really? So. I get on the scale and what? what is this? 149. Seriously? I GIVE UP!
I surrender. I'm not even trying to figure it out anymore.
Had to stop walking per Doctor until I get this infection in my foot under control. (I am not stopping, just slowing w a y down unless I can't)
Fast forward. Saturday. Ketostix - negative ROFL, okay. Weight 149.2
Ticker?? still says 150.4. I've been so up and down off that number that I can't think!.. So, from now on, it just is what it is.
CHOGGAT
Glad to know I didn't dream the milk. Still haven't tried it, probably won't. They didn't have any but the vanilla at my store. I will try it when I make goal. GLAD to know there is a regular version. I'm thinking I will do a LOT of cooking with it.
LINDA -
Good for you on the weight. Thanks for converting it for me.. you know us Americans, can't do metric for *****. Around here the only thing that ever gets mentioned in kilos is dope. Any time there is a drug bust it's measured in kilos. Nothing else. Don't know why. They tried to switch us to metric when I was in school. They only tried one year. It was evident that we would never learn Smile
RDRUN -
I am an everything eater. I can get stuck on sweets for a month, then go nothing but carbs for 6 weeks, then hit basic fruits for months on end. I think that's why Atkins works so well for me. There's not much I don't like, so I'm comfortable eating, or not eating, just about anything. I've not tried the Walden Farms syrups, but I hear good things about them. I'm thinking that you could add it to the cream cheese clouds, cut then in squares and have something similar to caramels, without the carbs. Putting all this in my *try this after you make goal*.
ALMOST -
I considered the fat fast, but I'm a high calorie girl.. lol..not sure I could pull it off. I may seriously look at it when I get back. Thanks for the input.
SOCCER -
So. Instead of cooking with my coconut oil I need to put it in my hair? Heck, no wonder it wasn't working. I really love dual purpose ingredients!
JEN???? We could use some "I'm pregnant, this is what I ate" news.

Okay, according to the posted record there are 440 people here. All you new guys need to step up to the plate. The same 6 people can't do all the talking. Well, we can, but it's not going to be very fruitful.

What's happened to Sunkeeper? Myrna, Jaime? not to mention you unnamed new people. I know it's summer, but with 440 people (vainly attempting mental math) If 10 people posted each day we would have 44 days of posts with each person only having to post once in a week and a half. Or something like that. Maybe you could just say why you joined the group. Name your diet. Say your name. Tell your location. State your weight loss goal. <shrugging> Heck, I joined talking. We have an agreement though. If no one posts I can type as MUCH as I want. If you guys start posting I'll limit myself to a few lines. Come on guys.. it'll be worth it!
