Good Sunday evening all, pouring down here, all day and most of yesterday, supposed to carry on until about wednesday. I drove home along the coast road today and all the street lights were on at 3pm-thats how dark and dismal it it.
Cheered myself up be cooking a roast pork dinner and the crackling was amazing, the house smells of roast.

Good Sunday afternoon here and its sunny and quite warm. I plan to stand in the shade and do the ironing, bopping to iPod Very Happy Might have a swim and take note of how many lengths I do. Day started with a nice fry up. Not so keen on fried eggs though and made mental note to try scrambling in future. Oh and must remember to DRINK (water, of course).

PS TENKILOS I am SO jealous of your roast pork. x

Hello there. I have been a member of this group for awhile now, but I don't think I have posted before. I think I shall start following, as you seem like a wonderfully positive bunch (barring the dismal rainy day or two!).

Nice to meet you all, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Checking in for the day. Sorry I missed everyone over the weekend. I didn't do any carb counting over the weekend though, but I'll try to make it up by having a low carb week. I did get in a 7 mile walk today and I'm under my carbs today.

Fire girl welcome to the group I think you'll like it here everyone is very supportive and you will find a lot of great tips from everyone.

I've been a member since the end of December and its been nice to have buddies helping me out even when I fell off the wagon.

I hope to see more of you and please consider me as a buddy.

Hello again,
Thank you for the warm welcome, that really made my morning! I am happy to have all the buddies I can get. It's easier for me to stay on track when I have peer pressure urging me towards healthy behaviors.

So often we see peer pressure as a bad thing but, much like the work 'habit', it can be very good don't you think? Yesterday I went walk/jogging with a friend where I likely would not have gone otherwise. Good habit stemming from good peer pressure.

I am from the states, in the great white northern parts. It get's extremely cold and uncomfortably hot, with very little time in-between. I have adapted however! Too cold? Too hot? Too rainy? Too whatever? I have a weight set, an elliptical, and a few favorite workout DVDs. I always have an alternate plan for my scheduled workout. Gotta outsmart myself before I even start with the excuses.

Low carb is something I have done very successfully before, and I am looking to repeat that story. Thus far it has been rather well played. This weekend was very active, and I lost five pounds!

Hello Everyone,

Been losing, don't know why. When I stick strickly I'm at a stand still. Now my carbs are a little higher and I'm losing, slowly, ounce by ounce. But a lose is a lose. Bad Grin

Today, my protein was to high and my fat to low, so I made a fat bomb coffee. They are delicious!

Even when the scale was not moving, I got into one size smaller jean shorts. Yeah, even if they are stretch jeans. Rolling Eyes

It's been a long long time but I keep trying. Hope everyone is well and welcome Firegirl.

Hello all,
Life is in the way. Am checking in every 4 or 5 days. Easy to keep up, not much posting. Where is everyone? Welcome Darla and Fire. Rindaloo... fried eggs are divine, 'specially in low carb eggs benedict! Saw Linda's post on "roasted brussels sprouts". My bag says 2 net carbs for 2/3 cups. Needless to say I ate 1 1/2 servings!!
BUT, I'm posting to see my ticker!!! I've gone GREEN!!!!! <doing a happy dance> GREEN!!!! can you see me? I'm Green, I'm Green, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm GREEN!. I'm sure I'll be back up tomorrow, but the general trend is DOWN, so I celebrated with my brussels sprouts.
Mind you, I've taken 3 trips in the past 5 weeks. NOTHING is going to derail me now. I don't know why I'm green. I should really need to lose 3 more pounds before I go green... guess they were just special proud of me!!
<spinning around so you get a good look!>
Here's hoping I make my goal before the next Dr visit!!
Jen? WHERE are you? Sunkeeper, Myrna, Julie or Jaime... someone say something! Linda can't row the boat all on her own!

Smile Well HA! You should have looked quickly, cause this morning I am back to yellow. lol. 's okay, cause I know that green is just sitting there waiting. I can LOOK at my weight history and see it Smile I'm thinking by the weekend it will be on the permanent side of green Smile And I thought yellow was exciting! Nothing like that lovely shade of green.
Normally by now we would be praying for rain, but, so far this summer we've had just enough showers to keep me cutting grass non-stop. The blueberries are nice though! Guess weed-eating is a good exercise? Gotta run, can't be late to practice!

Evil or Very Mad Not that it's horribly important, but, my ticker is screwy, should be 153.0. That .8 is a BIG number to me.. LOL

Linda, my brussels sprouts are waiting patiently in the fridge for me to decide what kind of impact they had. I hope the Parade brand carb count is accurate (although I'm beginning to doubt it). They were HEAVENLY and I can't wait to have more. I had them a few months back with a garlic butter sauce, but last night I didn't want to even take the time to sprinkle garlic powder over them... I just wanted to stuff them in my face! How pathetic! I'll be glad when I get to my goal weight. When I get there I'll switch to low calorie with all 70% of my carbs coming from vegetables and 20 from fat, the other 10% incidental. Hey, it worked for 20 years the last time, I'm counting on it this time. I just need to remember to temper the higher carb veggies with weeks of the lower carb ones. NOT to mention that the last time I did Atkins there was no such thing as NET CARBS. Ah, can life get any easier???

I remember those old Atkins days- was it 3 cups of salad OR 1 cup of low carb veges and 1 cup of salad per day ... a lot easier I think LOL - no counting, but hmmm I think NO coffee LOL... I did the cup thing and ignored the coffee rule, I drink black anyway, can't not have my coffee!
It worked for me then...

Just doing a quick check in tonight busy with my son. I did good today and stayed on track 😃. I need my coffee to tenkilos but I only have about 2 cups a day just enough to wake me up. Looks like your still doing good carb tracker we've missed you. It's been kinda lonely this week so far. I guess summer has a lot to do with it. I'll be looking for the green ticker this week I know you'll have it.

Well I have to go for now.
