Good Morning.....I have an idea....because we rely on each other so much for inspiration, motivation, and because we are just plain nosy....(LOL)...if you are here, but not posting, just write TRAVELING and move on....that way we know you were here, you are still alive, and you are reading and learning....it's just an idea.....

Gets weird feeling when it's quiet in here....

Dialup: I commend you on the crunches...I can't do them myself, but maybe someday....Wink

Rachel has been very busy, Toni too....SUNKEEPER is just plain ignoring us....and Linda popped in for a minute....BUT she let us know she popped in....and Julie has just plain deserted us!

Guess I'll go see George....I'm feeling pretty good about tomorrows weigh in and that pretty dress in the closet....oh and my husband bought me the cutest blouse!!!

Later Gaters! NO TATERS!!!! Razz

Good morning ladies and gentlemen!! Another good day with smaller numbers on the scales. Today I get to do some cleaning then get to go shopping for new interview clothes (super excited that all of my interview clothes don't fit--too big).

I'm going to try very hard to post every day this week although I'm not sure how that will work but worth trying! I miss each and every one of you.

Myrna--your little sayings always make me giggle "Later Gaters! NO TATERS!!!" Too funny

I haven't deserted you, Myrna!!! (It's so nice to be missed!) I've just been super busy with a manuscript...up at 4am to work, then run at 7, then back to work...Ahhhh!!
I like your idea of just posting SOMETHING if someone is lurking about, though. My problem is that I always read postings on my phone.

Speaking of reading postings on my phone, that was good information that you posted about protein causing the bad keto-breath, Toni. I had forgotten all about that. And, there's no excuse for that because I'm the one who re-posted it in the getting started thread for newbies! Go figure!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a super weekend and keepin' it low-carb!! Very Happy

Wow, Rachel gratz on the interviews. Having a choice would be amazing. Well, for me just having an interview would be amazing.

Had a marvelous time in the Napa valley but it was great to be home in our own bed. Lifted a glass of Mumm's champagne to my FS friends. I weigh just what I weighed when I started, so no complaints.

Off to my friend's birthday/retirement/mortgage burning party today. She is writing a cookbook on serving large parties, so the food will be amazing. I hope some will be on plan. She is diabetic, so it won't be so much sweet but hard to say for grains and beans in general. I bought all kinds of gourmet treats for her in the Valley (and three speciality mustards for meeeeee) which was a lot of fun. The Napa Chef's market had a balsamic seller where I got her 25 year aged balsamic. It was amazing. And I am not really a vinegar person. All nicely packaged and ready to go with a bottle of Fantasia from the Castello di Amoroso (an Italian style castle!).

Hey guys Smile Just a quick check in while I wait to board the plain... Oh, TRAVELING Wink

I have been visiting my mom, helping her go through her mother's and sisters things. My aunt passed 4 years ago and my grandmother 3 months ago, and they were both botderline hoarders, so needless to say,she needs a lot of help. I have stayed on plan and am teaching her too (she has diabetes).

Oops gotta run!

Hi guys! Just checking in. Hope everyone is a big or little loser.
I made a low carb key lime cheesecake for my moms birthday with a nut crust recipe I found and changing the sugar to splenda. Sad disappointed with the recipe. It called for unsweetened gelatin and its texture was off-putting. The flavor was excellent and so was the crust. I am going to try again!! Smile

Hi Everyone!

Hanging in there... Logging in from Canada. We will see if my ticker will work soon. I am TOM, so hoping for a big loss NEXT week Smile I was just thinking, "what is a big loss?" I think for me to is anything over 2 lbs/week.

Not very talkative lately, but wishing everyone a wonderful low carb day!

Hi all,
We spent a stressful night watching tornadoes - and we're buckling down for potential tornadoes tonight. We weren't hit last night but Wichita - which is 15 minutes from us was.
Man, I hate tornadoes.

I hope you guy are well and safe.

Good evening all,

Carbtracker thanks for the advice. I'll try and keep my carbs under 10, would that be carbs or net carb?

Learning - when you tweek your recipie, please share, sounds really good.

Toni - Hope your well and safe, my prayers are with you.

Tiffany - Have a great time. My mother did the Alaskan cruise - she had some marvelous pictures. I hope to do that cruise someday.

I tried making oopsie rolls today. They looked great until they collapsed when I took them from the oven. Everyone loved the taste but any suggestions on what whet wrong (they deflated). Confused Could use some pointers.

Have a great evening.

3.5 gain. Booooooooo! Hoping it is water retention from lifting weights. After reintroducing nuts I have been obsessing on them and I guess they are a trigger. I thought giving up my nightly glass of wine on this diet would be tough. Nope. Giving up nuts has been killing me so obviously I have a nut issue. I keep saying to myself, they are allowed. I can have them. They are good for me. Oh brother. Nuts and sunflower nut butter, and Atkins peanut butter bars. Obsessed. Sad

OMG, Learning, you are handling the reality of your "nut issue" quite well Smile I LOVE nuts too! It's not a trigger for me, but i love um. Wine is a bit of a trigger. Not so much since I am out of the habbit, but the last time I had a glass (Fri night), boy I wanted another...didn't cave though! I allow my self one glass every 2 to 3 weeks as the situation presents.

I had a beautiful salad yesterday that I dumped a can of Salmon on and dressed. Well, little did I know, it was the stuff canned with the bones and skin and then cooked in the can. It was super gross! There were these things that didn't totally disintegrate and I thought I was eating the eye or inner ear or something. Anyway, needless to say, I threw it ALL out because I couldn't stomach it after a few bites knowing what I saw. It made for a very low carb, low cal day Wink

Love to everyone that the Tornados or other extenuating circumstances have been affected by <3
