Happy Friday, all!!

Congratulations to Sunkeeper!!!! Way to go!!!! You must be just so excited! Very Happy

Myrna- Breaking up your workout like that is a good idea...especially if your butt goes numb! LOL!!

This morning I weighed myself, and I weighed 139 lbs!! I was sooo mad! I went for a 5-mile run, then weighed in again, and I was at 134 lbs! 5 whole pounds were water! Go figure! See how our bodies can be??

Well, I'm swamped with work...I'll check in later on.

Have a great day!

Sunkeeper I knew you would make goal today!! That is awesome and congratulations. I know your place will be a flurry of activity and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Ra Ra Good morning!!!

Myrna That is great with your extra time with George. LOL....kids...gotta love them!

Julie You are so right! Our bodies are crazy!!! Good for you in shedding that water.

As for me...working and will spend the day with DD watching some movies. Have to go get the POA signed today so I can take care of her bills. She has laundry to get done and tomorrow night we have a mother/daughter night (courtesy of my wonderful Husband). Then Sunday will be here before we know it.

I was trying to create a challenge so I can keep my commitment to her that I will bust my butt while she is busting hers, BUT good ole Fat Secret erroring out everytime I try. So I will try again later. This way she can help me set it up and see it and KNOW that I am really busting it here with her.

Have a great day!

Ladies and Gentlemen...I am pleased to announce that IM BACK!!! I am officially finished with school and have been offered part time employment at the office that I completed my internship at. However, I now have a lot more free time to check in and visit and most importantly get back on track! I cannot say that I've stayed on plan. I have gained a few (like nearly 10) pounds back over the course of the last month. ARGH!!!! But I kindof expected that to happen when I took on so much all at once. But that phase is behind me and I have one more celebratory dinner to attend tomorrow. So Monday morning will be my new beginning...again. I'm glad I didn't do complete damage and gain everything back but I'm a bit disappointed that I gained back as much as I did. I am super excited to rejoin you all in this journey to a happier healthier life!

KICK THOSE CARBS TO THE CURB!!!

Good morning and happy Sat. I had so much fun getting to goal I'm going to do it again.....gained 2.5 lbs over night! I'm sure it's mainly water and I didn't drink anywhere near what I usually would in a day but it also could be champagne or wine or beer or potato salad too. Doesn't matter, the wedding was a complete success with so many wonderful comments from people that what I was eating (or drinking) was just about the least of my worries. We have to take things as they come and not sweat the small stuff, today is another day and I will be far more diligent in my choices. To live any other way wouldn't be practical, some days you just have to take things as they are. I made goal when I wanted to and I'll make it again, bet cha it won't be the last time either as now I have to do this maintenance thing which will be trail and error for some time I'm sure.

Hope all of you have a great day, think I'm going to be having a very long nap, so tired from going all day and not much sleep.

Sunkeeper - so happy the wedding went well. That is an accomplishment.

Rachel - welcome back, gratz on the new job!

I am in one of those "I am not losing weight so why not have an indulgence" moods. *sigh* not planning to give in to it, but noticing the signs of discouragement and rebellion.

Wow, weddings, sweet 16 birthdays, very very busy people.

Me, I spent the day working outside. Sweeping, cleaning, rearranging the pond. Stinky water from the winter. Still lots more to do (painting chairs, replacing wood on the bench, power washing, etc.) but I guess that will have to wait for next weekend.

I'm really startig to ache, a nice hot shower and advil will do the trick. I guess I got my exercise in for today, yeah!

Tomorrow, my hubbie and I are going to the mountains, just for the day but it will be a nice break.

Wishing everyone, strength and happiness!

Rowanfair,
When I hit those flat lines, or ups, I just shrug and smile. It's sort of like having a secret that the scale doesn't know yet Smile

Today is my birthday. I had a great day with my kids and grandkids. Of course I amazed myself with a super-duper-low-as-you-can-go carb, Eggs Benedict for breakfast (homemade Hollandaise and an adapted MIM).
Splurged on a 1g per 2 ounce, 6 oz venison sausage for lunch, and that wonderful hubby grilled ribs and chicken for dinner...... I'm beat and stuffed... AND I skipped my 4 mile today, just took it easy and played with the kids. I think just before the clock hits midnight I'll have that SF Black Cherry Jello! I just hope I got in all my water.
(for those not concerned with carbs we had Fajita Rice, Baked Beans, Green Salad and Lemon Meringue Pie.)
By the way, I attempted meringue drops from my leftover eggwhites from the Hollandaise and the actual drops turned out perfectly, I just didn't get the sweetness or the flavoring right...but 3 egg whites produced 18 1/4 cup "drops I'll work on it again soon. I'm thinking just the slightest hint of cocoa powder and a little more sweetener......next to nothing carbs.
Well, happy birthday to me, I'm off to log my food for the day!

Good morning everyone!
Sunkeeper best wishes to the happy couple! And congrats for reaching the goal!
Atriel2 happy birthday to your daughter! Hope you had a low-carb (the most possible) day!Smile

Rdrunr557, you reminded me of all the work I have to do in my garden and oh, my back is aching just thinking of it!Rolling Eyes have a nice day up to the mountain today! I love these one day excursions!

Gina happy birthday to you!! It's very nice that you kept on track on a day like that!

Concerning me, I have made my little mistakes these days (had relatives to put up and so many things to prepare for dinner, dessert etc-well these are just excuses but anyway) and I saw 1 kilo up this morning. My fingers are bloated - probably from the water retention- I'm waiting for TOM next week so it might be this as well... So things have not been perfect, but I'm determined to get back on track the soonest possible!

Have a nice day all of you!Smile

Hey Gina, hope you had a great birthday, your a day after me and so is Toni's daughter. 3 Aries in a room together, yikes, that's pretty dangerous!

Rachel, congrats on the job offer and glad to have you back again with us on a regular basis, you didn't happen to find Angie on your travels did you? She keeps going MIA too. Lyncarol hasn't been seen for ages, come out come out where ever you people are hiding.

Dorothy, don't beat yourself up, the dang cravings just get us sometimes but we're bigger than they are and will over come them.

Toni, how did the birthday party go? Bet your about as beat as I am. Daughters sure can wear a person out no matter their age but they sure can be fun too. Hope you enjoyed watching her having fun with her friends.

Rdrun, I have all that to look forward to, we've still got snow on the ground but this weeks forecast should take care of it, I hope. So darn sick of looking out the window and seeing that white stuff, be nice to cut some grass and rake up the mess. Have fun on your mountain get away.

Sia, beat you to that track, I hope, I need to pull myself off the couch today and get back to it. Yesterday both DH and I didn't do a whole heck of a lot, today I feel better and need to move more.

Yesterday about the most I did was laundry, load after load which is now about 1/2 done. I have 130 chair covers to wash, fold and put away plus all the table cloths, runners, napkins etc. Doesn't count much in the exercise department but that's about all the energy I had. Today is a whole new day and I really need to pull up my boot straps, I really think the more you lay around the more tired you get so now that I've had a good nights sleep it's back to the grind and back to looking after me cause I deserve it. Will be spending time with Wally today, he's pretty lonely and needs a work out for sure and I really need to drink some water, lots of water in fact to get flushing everything out of me which I think is what will perk me up some as well.

Man it's bad when 1 day of partying takes us 2 or 3 days to get over now, this getting old really sucks!

Hope everyone has a fun Sun, spring is definitely in the air these days so we'll all be moving more I'm sure. If we eat low carb too, can't help but lose a few pounds in the process. Have a great day all.

Oh wow, a real bunch of us this month.

I had the best message from my grandson on mine, he sent a text saying Happy 40th Birthday Grandma! Brownie points big time for that kid....

My hands are so swollen I can't get my rings off to put lotion on and after a person has lost 35+ lbs you know their rings are really big. I need to get this water off me so will drink gallons today and have no salt at all if I can help it.

Haha, Sia - great quote.

Happy birthday, all you Aries folks! I do seem to have quite a crop amongst my friends (including my youngest brother and my BFF).

WOW!!
It's no wonder this forum functions so wonderfully with all the Type A Aries in here! I wrote my post yesterday and went to bed. I have one on nebulizer treatments every 4 hours.
Happy Birthday SUNKEEPER, MYRNA LOUISE (early), and TONI'S DAUGHTER!

SUNKEEPER: Quick Tip. It might not be water swelling your hands. Try elevating your hands above your heart for 10 minutes and see if you can get your rings off. Easiest way is a recliner or sofa and throw your arms up on the back. Smile Just try it.
SIASIAA thank you for that pat on the back! I think when I get started good it's pretty easy to stay on track. There will be many more birthdays to "cheat a little" AFTER I make my goal.
I did my 4 miles in an hour this morning, and I got a little behind my pace, so I actually did 10 step jogs 9 times to catch up. I was AMAZED that a 58 year old overweight woman with plantar facsiatus and sciatica could pull that off!! I know it doesn't look like much in print but it FELT like I had accomplished something!
I'm going to have a fantastic day and hope you all do too!
