Good Afternoon everyone! Very busy day today - teacher's meeting after work, ugg.
Keeping the flaxseed crackers uncovered and in the refrigerator worked. They stayed crispy. Yeah!
I also found a way to make them the size I want. Instead of scoring with a fork, I basically run a butter knife down and across so I can make the right size cracker or nacho chips.

Yes you heard it right, nacho chips. I cut them to size and baked them. Then I layered them with ground beef, olives, shredded cheese and sour cream. Delicious - ate have for dinner last night and the rest for lunch today.

I'm also back to lifting weights 3 times a week. Everyone here is doing soo good, it has given me incentive. Thanks to all my low carb friends.

Have a great day!

Hello to everyone -- Working day 6 of my 7 day strech, almost done and ready for the weekend.

Since I'm fairly new to this group, please forgive me if this is something that's already been discussed. I finished the 2 week Induction and so I bought some Atkins Bars and Shakes (cause I missed my chocolate). I was heavy into ketosis (Drk Purple) according to the ketosis strips - however now I'm going backwards (pale tan). It seemed to have occurred over night !! I have not changed the number of carb intake (still 20 or under) and I'm working on lowering my protien intake. Could these, so called Atkins approved bars and shake be kicking my out of ketosis ? New to low carb and still trying to find my place in the World

All help or suggestions are appreciated !!!

Yes, it can be, and most probably is, the Atkins bars. I never could eat them and stay in ketosis. Some people can and some can't. It's possible that you can, but you might have to start with just part of a bar in a day and watch how that affects you. Then skip a day. Somebody around here can probably give you a recipe for something "chocolate" that won't kick you out of ketosis and I'm SURE they will share! Don't panic. You're down 11 lbs you have to be doing it right!

And it's Thurs, my gosh the days go by quick, hope it's going to be a really great day for everyone.

Well, for all you pop uppers, I'm in your group today, went up .4 instead of down so how's that for bursting a bubble? Was not happy, not at all but what can you do? It is what it is and maybe tomorrow will be the day of happy dancing all around the room. Can't say I didn't give it my all but someone had something else in mind I guess and today is going to be far to busy a day to worry about it which just might be the key.

I really don't know what was going on yesterday, I woke up hungry which hasn't happened in months. I was into the coconut candy early morning to ward off the pangs that were really getting to me and no matter what I ate I still seemed to be hungry right up until I went to bed last night, weird.

This journey is not a quick fix, we all know that. It takes commitment, work and can be very challenging. It's really not about 1 day when your talking a life time way of eating so no worries. Today is not the day but tomorrow might be, if not then the day after I guess. It'll happen when it's suppose to happen and I'll be singing from the roof tops though unlike the old saying, it won't be a fat lady singing!

Have a great low carb Thurs and don't let a number discourage you from your goal. If you eat right, control the carbs and calories plus drink that water it'll happen, when it's suppose to happen and no amount of frustration will change it. Just be happy your on the right coarse.

Good morning all!
My weight is finally coming back down after last week. Still not back in the 160's but that's okay because I'll get there.
We had a family emergency that required being out of town and staying with family that isn't supportive of this WOE.
I did okay the first part of the visit. I did very badly during the last part and my weight shot up from 166 to 177. I weighed in today at 171.
The thing that never ceases to amaze me is how much of a part water plays in the weight loss journey.
I am back on the wagon completely now. And I'm feeling much better.

Congrats to all of the losers! And thank you all for being such a huge source of inspiration and support.

Much love to you all,
- Toni

SUNKEEPER
So happy that your "hungry" day has passed. I have those occassionally. Never did understand them, still don't. And you are 100% correct. Eat right and weight, or wait, or something!!!
Today was not the day, so what. You're right, whatever day it is we will all be happy that you've achieved it and we won't worry about it until then!
Happy Thursday!

Sunkeeper I hate those 'hungry' days! Maybe your weight is up from all the exercise that you did and your muscles are retaining some water. I bet you will see it down tomorrow.

ToniI am sorry for the emergency and hope all is okay now. It makes it tough when others are not supportive of WOE. It is amazing how much our weight can be effected by just a couple of things. I don't think it will ever stop amazing me. Sounds like you are kicking it all back to the curb so good for you!!!!

RaRa I am with Gina on this...I bet it is the Atkins that you added in.

Dorothy Thanks so much! Always good to see you Smile

Hope everyone is doing well. As for me the scale FINALLY budged. I have a feeling the emotional roller coaster has something to do with it being so stubborn. However, I will just keeping taking care of my body (the way I should have been all along) and that is the most important thing. The scale will move again when it gets ready. So I will see if I can stay in the 196's now and if the scale will start another downward slide.

Have a great day all!

Where is everyone???? Not a post since noon yesterday, now that's really strange for here.

TGIF, whew, another weekend upon us, more time to get movin and shakin or happy dance. Today will be a very busy day round here, told DH to get in the shower early as there will be a "pack" of girls here by 11am and I doubt he'll see a bathroom after that, rofl.

The numbers were in my favor this morning, made goal, yea. Of coarse today the darn ticker isn't working again, booo Fat Secret.

This for me has been a very interesting journey, I doubt I would have gotten past my Jan/Feb stall if it weren't for the support and encouragement from the members here, thank you again, it was exactly the boost I needed to get over that stall and onward to the number I've been looking at for 7 months now. Your a fantastic group of people, I so appreciate all that you've done over that time to help me be where I am today. This was a team effort for sure and I'm glad I picked the right team to be on, there isn't a better one out there.

Toni, hope everything is ok, hard to stay on track when things are stressful, good job achieving what you did. Try to stay the coarse now, those numbers will come down, you've got this figured out if anybody does.

Jaime, so happy for you. It's been a tough few weeks and with things going to settle down soon I can't even imagine what the numbers will show in no time at all. Your going to be one hot momma by the time DD comes home from Boot Camp!

Carb Tracker, thanks for the encouragement, sometimes the "waiting" for the weight can just drive you nuts but it's always worth that wait when it happens. It most likely was water from the things I did the day before, had fun doing everything though making it worth the while.

Hope everyone has a great low carb Fri. May the numbers be with you!

Wow, Sunkeeper, love the "zero to go" ticker! Congratulations!!

Ra Ra - yep, Atkins bars have sugar alcohols which some people digest just like sucrose. Check out our recipe thread for the chocolate coconut oil candies. Make them without nuts for induction, they definitely feed the chocolate want. Smile

Have a great Friday, friends.

Good Afternoon...

I have been spending extra time with GEORGE...30 min in the morning and 30 minutes at night....My butt goes numb any longer than that! Smile

The boys have been pretty good, except one of them has a tootheache....and then they wonder why I harp about brushing!

Have a great weekend....I will!
