Happy Easter, hope the bunny, if he found your house, left something good like exercise equipment rather then chocolate. Be a much more useful bunny if he did and we'd like him a whole lot more.

Busy day round here pre wedding stuff plus Easter dinner with the family. She wants pictures done in the Florida room due to still having a foot of snow on the ground, the bridge over the pond won't work, pond is still frozen solid so it's a mass clean up and organization to ensure it at least appears to look some what like spring.

Not that many posts over the weekend, looks like everyone is busy which is great, hope there are lots of family events planned and yes RaRa, we do need to remember all the people working and away from their families today and on all the special occasions. We have a nurse and a fire fighter in our lot so I know what you mean. Pretty special when everyone can be in attendance.

Remember to stay low carb, move a bit, shake a bit then reap the rewards tomorrow and the days to follow. You all can do it, it's just mind over matter.

Happy Easter all! and Deviled EGGS! or Angeled Eggs if you like Smile. And one little piece of dark chocolate. It's beautiful here, the sky is a bright blue. May your holiday be fantastic!

Kids are so excited, hope to stay on plan, my candy of choice will be sugar free if I get tempted.. I have my goodie bag prepared for when we go to the family get together!

Happy Easter! I recorded eventhough I stayed under in calories, I went over in carbs. But, the day spent with my family was wonderful, church, early dinner and new movie, thanks to the Easter Bunny.

Hope everyone's day was a great one!

Back from Easter dinner at Marie Callendar's. Had a 1/2 a cobb salad with blue cheese dressing so not bad at all. No Ostara/Easter Bunnies around here. I had stopped in my fave BBQ joint last night for dinner for 6 and saw they had put up Easter specials - smoked leg of lamb and cherrywood smoked ham. I had committed to the family dinner at MC's but I called in an order for smoked lamb and will have it for dinner. Unfortunately it looks like the "cauliflower gratin" also has potatoes in it. Bah. And even more unfortunately it came with dessert. Which looks like whipped cream with crushed oreos and strawberries. And the DH won't eat whipped cream. I may succumb. Whipped cream and strawberries. I can avoid the oreo bits, right?! /facepalm

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend with friends and family and good cheer -- and low carbs.

Checking in Smile Didn't give in to the Easter dinner temptations, but did go over on my carbs, by 10, and calories, by 431, today with low-carb food.

Tomorrow is indeed a new day for all of us. Just stick with it and you'll see the results in time Smile Like Sunkeeper said, it's only mind over matter. (BTW, LOL @ this idea that the site likes me best. Too funny you are Razz )

Dorothy, proud of you for that hour and a half of exercise!

Everyone is doing great! All we can do is try our best. Some days are better than other days, but not nearly as bad as the days we used to have! We should all be proud of ourselves just for trying! Very Happy

Hope you all had a lovely holiday!

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm bragging. Today was wonderful. Sooner or later my weight goal will be realized and THEN and ONLY then will I tiptoe into "splurging" on one meal occasionally. Everything I cooked today was absolutely delicious (whether I got to taste it or not), but for me, the deep purple of the ketostix tonight was the sweetest item of the day.

Good morning!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter with friends and family! I did--so much so that I didn't even track what I ate yesterday. I know that I kept my foods low carb, but I have no idea of what my caloric intake was. I'm glad that today is a new day, a new month, and a fresh start for all!

I tried this recipe for Oven Baked Chicken yesterday, and it is a winner! (I think someone already posted it in the recipes forum, but I couldn't find it to reference them. Sorry about that.) If you have a couple of hours to kill, I highly recommend giving this recipe a try. And it's made with chicken thighs, drums, or wings, so it won't kill your pocketbook.

Well, here's wishing all a great low-carb day! Oh, yeah...by the way...Happy April Fool's Day!!Very Happy

PS: Myrna- I'm so glad you're feeling better...I was worried about you for a while there!

Happy Monday morning group! Brand new day, brand new week, holiday is over so now there aren't any excuses left, time for everyone to get really serious, we're on the downhill slope of summer being upon us, will you look and feel your very best when it arrives? Will you be able to get yard work done quickly and easily without running out of breath every 10 minutes. Will you be able to run after your kids or grandkids on a beautiful sunny day? Will you be able to walk with someone you love along a shore line and have others envy you for what a great looking couple you are? Angie is right, we can all only do our best, if we try to be a bit better every day in our choices it'll become habit. I know you can do it, I know you can become a much healthier, happier person. I'm pulling for YOU!

Don't know what else to say Angie, they must like you best for sure now. I'm exactly 2 lbs away and while my ticker has the right number on it I'm still green, no blue for me so how do we explain that one? Guess I'm to stay green with envy for how well many did over the holiday, still green with envy as to how the new pictures of all of you will look and the measurements about to be posted. That's ok though, gives me the urge to work even harder, spend more time with Wally and see if somehow I can become blue. Seems really weird to me anyway to have blue as the good color, it should be pink so we'd all be pretty in pink at the end. Has to be testosterone developing this web site, yup, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Angie is single, she's got some lookers out for her now, way to go girl! That doesn't cause any envy at all, actually puts a big smile on my face. Really happy for everyone turning a few heads in their direction after working hard to get to their goal. Wolf whistles next?

Hi all,
I'm sorry that I've been so scarce lately. We had a family emergency that required being out of town last week. I did pretty good with staying on plan until the last three days and I didn't drink anywhere near enough water.
I can feel it this morning. My weight is up and I'm bloated and miserable. I'll have to check in again after I get caught up on everything that I've missed.

Hello all - Happy April 1st.

I see a few stayed the game, congrats. Very Happy Others, like myself faultered a little. Confused But, no one is perfect and as previously said "Today is a new day"! I really love the words of inspiration.

I wish I could lose weight as fast as I put it on! Shock I can gain 6 pounds in one day.
I did see a difference when I ate carbs - my belly was bloated and achy - not a good feeling. I guess it is mind over matter. I just have to remember the bad feeling instead of how I think it's going to taste.

I started the day out right - I did weight lifting for 20 minutes, then back to desk work. So far so good.
Today, if I get a chance, I will make a schedule for myself to follow: exercise, eating - maybe I'll call it a "Care About Me Calendar". Wink

Hope everyone's day is a great one!

As far as eating, I had no problems. Since I did all the cooking, I made sure to have lots of things for ME to pick from. My downfall is carbs, so I just didn't eat any. Easier that way. I had several varieties of deviled eggs, ham, baby back ribs and every time I even thought about diving into the potato casserole or lemon pies I just grabbed a SF Jello and remembered how sweet a purple ketostix is Smile
