BBD Thankyou, will keep posting weight and carbs, all going well here. Enjoying e
European yogurt with a LITTLE fruit salad for breakfast sometimes.
Carb tracker, welcome, true many low carb groups on Fat Secret are stagnant, that's why we started our own group, we have active moderators and members who constantly check in, also having posts under the one main topic help, that way posts don't get missed. I hope you are very happy here Smile
Sunkeeper congratulations you are doing so well, a real inspiration to everyone, also a valued member of the group.
Julie hi, I have some of those scales, my daughter is a registered dietitian and says they will give you a guide but not always 100% accurate. (jump up and down in front of the mirror-nude, if it wobbles it's fat LOL)
Rowan -thanks, this is the hard part - keeping at goal!
dial up, keep plugging at it, if you are eating any bars or diet soft drinks try not having them for a few days it may help.
Myrna that bug is going around here in Australia! My sister has just had it - it took 4 days to get rid of it... hope today is better for you.
katred, any loss is a loss! well done.
onelovejenn, well done for staying on plan, going out is a challenge.
Siasiaa, if you are hungry have a protein or fat snack, like meat or cheese / a spoon full of butter, it makes you feel full and no carbs Smile
Thursday am here ... going shopping for food (Easter) need fish for Good Friday, we are not religious but keep with traditions. I am going to make a low carb cheesecake for Easter Smile

Welcome any newbies - jump in and tell us about yourselves - Linda

Good evening to everyone. This group is growing by leaps and bounds. I think this is the only group who really get things going.

I'm glad everyone seems to be doing well. Most losing, some reaching goal or close to it - Congrats! Very Happy

I still have a long way to go and waiver in my enthusiam but I will try to be stronger. Today, I went over in carbs - having salad for lunch was good but the dressing was a carb killer (36) OMG. Shock I guess I should stick to ceasar and bleu cheese.

Good news on the homefront - Mom gets to go from imobilizer to sling on Easter Sunday. Thank you lord. She still has a lot to go after the sling with PT but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Cool

Better low carb choices to all for tomorrow. Keep up the good work and have a good evening.

Happy Thurs, the gremlins are at work today, took 3 tries to register weight today and only after I left .ca and switched over to .com. Wow, sure is a different looking site over here than the .ca site, I see what your all talking about with the changes!

Rdrun, fabulous news about your Mom, hope her recovery goes without a hitch, certainly will ease your stress level I'm sure. Amazing how the child becomes the parent isn't it? Be happy you have your Mom to worry about, your very lucky, I envy you so much. Please don't waiver, get more enthusiastic, get mad, get moving some more, beat these demons that are trying to take over. You can do it, I know you can, your a winner and will come out the other end looking fab and feeling even better.

For anyone out there who is going through a rough patch and wanting some more ideas please feel free to have a look at my food diary. It's not all that fancy but I can tell you it works. If you get 1 idea from it it's one more than you had. We're all here to help one another, take advantage, way better than paying a weekly fee at some place that will give you the very same results in the end and we're here for you, daily!

Hey Jen, you've done so well, look at how much you've lost! We all hit that darn stall stage but it does eventually pass, frustrating as it is while you sit and wait for that to happen. I don't know if it's your body adjusting or muscle being made out of fat or just what the logical reason is, doesn't matter at all really. If you stay the coarse, don't let anything stop you, you'll come out the other side stronger and feeling so good to not only have lost but to have over come yet another obstacle put in your way. Hang in there girl, just look at that light, it's getting closer every day.

Julie, Bridezilla not only went after me, guess the fiance caught it too! She was much calmer yesterday, thank the good Lord! Should be an interesting week ahead, I know it'll all work out, hope she realizes it too, I don't like Bridezilla much though she does create some comedy relief for the rest of us as long as she doesn't realize we're all laughing at her melt downs. Yikes, can you just imagine how that might go?

What a nice thing to say Sia, thank you. I'm saving my update picture for next week, will post one for sure. Hopefully everyone will see some changes. It's funny, some days when I look in the mirror the same sized person from before is looking back at me, other days there is a smaller person there. Wonder why that is?

Good job onelovejenn. You can eat out, you can socialize the same as before and still lose weight, you've just proved that to everyone. Fantastic!

Katred, 2.5 is nothing to sneeze at no matter where it came from. It's a loss and you should be very proud of yourself, way to go, now just keep it up.

Myrna, feel better friend. Hope the soup was delicious, hit your spot and helped to make things better. Can't have our comic relief specialist down and out, poor girl. Happy the co-worker lived, save it for another day.

Rowan, you have all this wedding stuff to look forward to. She's only had the 1 melt down (so far) hoping that's over and done with now. We can handle a moment but more than that I'll have Myrna up here for help with taming the situation!

I know I've missed people but seems every day I have a novel for you to read so it happens. I certainly don't mean to miss anyone at all, every member of this group is important, you all motivate me, you all keep me honest and you all inspire me to be a better me. Sure is a great feeling to wake up in the morning and know you all have my back during the stressful times and the good times too. I really doubt I would have made it this far without you. I owe every single one of you a really big, sincere thank you. What a fabulous group we have.

Happy Thurs everyone, keep it low carb, keep moving and remember, drink that water!

Hey all checking in after a long absence from the group. Decided this morning the pity party needs to end and I need to start worrying about me and stop worrying about everyone else. So today I start being selfish.

Morning all. What's the deal? There have been so many temptations lately coming from every angle. People around me in class are eating candy, the professors are feeding the class muffins, and all I smell is the stuff I used to eat! So frustrating!! I won't be tempted though.

Hello everyone!

Sunkeeper thanks so much for the idea of looking at your menu. I will hopefully get to go on autopilot for awhile for a menu. Laughing Maybe that's why those other expensive diets work - you only eat what they give you, haha.

Myrna your ticker seems to be working fine. I can see it 24 pound loss! That's great! Shock Hope you feel better soon. The bug has gotten practically everyone, everywhere.

I love Easter and have my fat fast chocolate candy in the fridge and ready to go. I did over do the deviled eggs but I think that's allowed. It still seems weird that the calorie count can be that high, wow!

Have a happy Easter holiday everyone!

Hahahah. No. Not TOO harsh. Of course, you have to remember that you are ready to do away with inanimate objects and make believe rabbits, when the real culprit are the sugar manufacturers.... Now, if you want them to die we might have to rethink it.
Of course, I want to point out here, and this might not be the right place, but you can fuss later, that SUGAR is more addictive than cocaine. Okay, true. Scientific research shows that SUGAR is more addictive than cocaine.
Of course, cocaine is illegal cause (I'm guessing) it leads to all sorts of criminal activity in order to purchase more... plus, you're psychotic on cocaine (or so the lawmakers say). That being said, have you ever seen a kid that's had a sugar overload???? You don't call that psychotic? How 'bout what happens to you when you eat a whole box of peeps? Yeah. You be the judge. How many people do you believe would turn to criminal activity if sugar were to suddenly, inexplicably vanish? Or if the cost of refined sugar went from $2 a bag to,let's say $20 a bag. What if that dollar candy bar was suddenly $12 or that little cute bag of M&M's $3.
And of course, the manufacturers are NOT ignorant. They understand addictive, and CHEAP. Sugar is in almost everything (as ever GOOD carb conscientious person knows). So.... where was I going with this.... Oh, yes, the people around you, eating, everything and everyone out to carb you..... TODAY, I thumbed my nose at all of them!! I had forgotten breakfast and was out all day. Around 2 I realized I was starving. I had nothing with me to eat (very unprepared, I know). I drove into Carl's Jr. (Hardee's for some of you) and flippantly ordered the Six Dollar Low Carb Burger!!!
Guess what the crazy at the window asked me? Go ahead...guess!!!
<i><b>"You want that in a combo?"</i></b> Well, I wasn't in a good humor at that moment and gave her a lesson on carb management. But STILL. I felt like I had won a prize!!! I've never had one, because I simply didn't trust it, but today, I threw caution to the wind. Sat down, looked at my marvelous burger, and promptly wolfed it down.
I gotta tell you, peeps would run a very distant 100th place to that burger. They serve it in a little paper wrapper so you can eat it just like a hamburger. I'm sure I could make it at home, but it was fabulous to find a "fast-food" place that I can order off the menu, as is, in a pinch.
NOW, the test will be if that 6 carbs affects me or not. I make 6 carb meals all the time and do well. I'd love to hear someone else's experience with this burger. I DID panic when I hit what I believed to be a "bread and butter" style pickle in it, but I just picked those out (3). Any opinions?

Just checking in real quick to say that I'm still alive lol. Had a lot going on the past 2 weeks and feeling kinda run-down. That's my cue to rest and take it easy. My mini-vacation was a disaster lol. Was sooooo glad to come home. I've decided, after that fiasco, not to go to that wedding with him in May. I didn't stay anywhere near on track while I was gone, and I was very ready to get back to the proper way of eating again. I was so full and miserable. It was like a flashback to the past :/ Anyway, I've been back on track now since Monday and doing well Smile

Checking in this morning was glad to see Angie is back, get that leash and snag her so we don't lose her again! Sorry things didn't go well, what a bummer that is after you looking forward to some fun times.

The Easter bunny doesn't bother me much, I doubt he'll be showing up at my house at all if he wants to live any longer. Have the rabbit cage already for him should he make a big mistake....

Myrna, hope that bug leaves and finds a new home, quickly! My gosh it's been traveling this room for ages now, it's time to be gone for sure. On any normal day I'd have shut Bridezilla down in a heart beat but trying to give her some space right now, difficult as that is. She seems to be fine now after the one melt down which I suppose each is entitled to. Shall see how the next week goes. This was suppose to be a get hitched and have a Margarita type affair, not sure what happened to get to where we are now with 130 guests, the other way would have been so much easier, and cheaper!

Popped up a 1/2 lb today and have no clue why. Just can't rely on those darn scales, they sometimes like to test us too. Yesterday I spent my hour with Wally, baked a bunch in the morning and did not test a thing then lugged plants all afternoon which should have burned mega calories. Sometimes it just doesn't go the way we think it should but no biggie, tomorrow is another day, hopefully the numbers will be better or more in my favor.

Be interesting now to see if the ticker is still working today. Dang thing, it likes to test us too doesn't it?

Hope you all have a low carb day, have sunshine in your lives and enjoy the day. Holiday here, not sure it is everywhere, not that it makes a lot of difference to me, only thing is I have DH under foot today to slow me down some.

Morning all. I hit a BAD rough patch yesterday. I had been feeling sorry for myself because I could't eat candy (I find that slightly pathetic), and my dear dear husband comes home with a bag of M&Ms. He bought them for himself, not to sabotage me, but I was upset anyway! He could see my distress and immediately felt bad. Since starting this WOE in January I have not had any dessert type food. I haven't really needed it, but yesterday was different. After talking it over with him he decided I may want dessert too sometimes so he went to the store and bought me sugar free jello and heavy cream so I could make whipped cream to go with it. After dessert I felt a million times better and the rough patch was over!

Carb Tracker, well said. I guess I didn't mean it when I said I want the Easter Bunny to die. He is needed in my house for a few more years, but after that I hope to never hear from him again!
