Good Morning everyone!!!

LINDA: WTG...Hip Hip Hurray!!!!
TONI: Glad you are busy!
SUNKEEPER: Nice meet on that mini goal!

To the rest of you losers...good! To the rest of ya....keep going don't stop...

Read this on Facebook this morning (Sunkeeper: I did not look at any pictures of food)! Thoughts on this:

WEIGHT LOSS: Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast and on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. When taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

I'll be back later, I have to go kill my co-worker!

Ra ra and everyone well done and good luck to all those weighing in today Smile Home today, my husbands day off work too. I sprayed with oven cleaner last night, so I'm going to ask him to scrub it! Really horrible job.

Hello everyone!
This seems to be the "look, everyone's doing well, forum!" I'm very new here and just learning my way around, but I've seen several groups that looked interesting, but the latest posts to them were over 6 months old....
So, I found this site well after I had started Atkins, but I'm loving being able to load in my carb count and exercise! What fun!
I'm committed to being an active member while I lose this extra person I'm carrying around Smile
Having previously used Atkins (25yrs ago) I still remember several of my favorite induction recipes and am slowing cooking them, photographing and adding to the cookbook section. That's kind of fun.. but, my recipes all say "pending". Wonder how long they have to "pend" before someone gets to see them?
Oh well, I'm a die-hard Atkin's girl and a true believer in sharing, so anything you want or need, just ask.

Well Myrna,
I find this amazing. Just FOUR hours ago, I was shopping with a friend and the dreaded cholesterol topic arose. She gave me the EXACT same info you did (honey+cinn 2xdaily), only she said it would reduce LDL levels by 10% in just a few days.
I'm wondering if it's all Urban Legend, or whether natural honey is good on that many different levels?
Either way, I don't remember seeing honey on Atkins anywhere... but I could be mistaken.

Daily check in, good morning!

Carb Tracker, welcome to a very active group with the mind set to lose weight, be much healthier and live longer. If your serious about these your in the right place for sure. I wouldn't be ingesting any honey for a time, certainly not on induction at all but once you can start to add things back in it might be something to look at.

Toni, it's really good to hear how busy you are with the present economy. Good job, your doing something right for sure and must be very proud of your business, or certainly should be.

RaRa, your doing very well, good for you. Don't forget it'll slow down some once your over the initial starting period but if you stick to the plan it'll work, it always does.

Dorothy, it's really good to see you posting too! Miss you when your not around so much.

Sia, the plan does work very well when done the right way and while sometimes we "think" we are following it, that one little thing can really throw it off. Glad your on the right track now, here you go! My crystal ball shows weight loss in your future......

Wondering if Myrna's co-worker made it, sure hope there isn't any funeral planning happening where she works. I hear the pen isn't big on low carb foods, it's just not worth it girl friend. Let the sucker live you so can torment them more, be way more fun or hey, make them spend a day with the boys, that'll shape them up to be nice to you for ever more.

So here I sit, plugging away and getting results. Appears I must have behaved on the weekend away as other than a small pop up Mon things seem to be on track (exhale!) Life is constantly testing us to see if it can throw us off, but, when your stubborn it certainly has it's work cut out to accomplish that. Less than 3 lbs to go now and you know what, it's scary. Every day when the numbers go down just a bit it reminds me that soon I have a whole new learning session about to start and will be taking Linda's lead. That's the good thing about this group, no matter where you are you always have a buddy to help guide the way. Still have the big decision looming too, will I be done or should I go for a bit more?

Bridezilla appeared yesterday for the first time, think I'm going to keep my head down today to avoid any after shocks. The stress seems to be hitting DD just a bit which is pretty typical of a week and a half out to her big day. Hey Myrna, be on stand by, I might need some of your experience in killing somebody before we get there! She wasn't to bad but hey, could get worse and I want to have back up ready should it be required and I know Myrna is about the best of the best.

Have to take the car in for e-testing then back home to get my hour in with Wally. Both of us hate it when we can't spend time together first thing in the morning but again, life gets in the way sometimes.

Hope you all have a low carb day planned, are successful in what needs to be accomplished and enjoy the bits of spring now showing it's face. Soon it'll be bathing suit weather, will you be ready?

Good morning, everyone!!

Sunkeeper- Your post about your daughter turning into Bridezilla made me giggle. I guess it happens to the best of 'em. Probably just stress...it'll pass.Very Happy

Linda- Congrats for being at goal!! Good for you! Let us know how maintenance goes as you plug along.

Myrna- That's interesting about the cinnamon and honey mixture. I wonder if that really works...

Group- Does anyone have one of those body fat scales that tell you your percentage of body fat and water as well as weight? I've been looking at them on Amazon and it looks like Health o Meter has a pretty good one, but I'm just not sure...Question If anyone has any information about it, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!

I hope everyone has a great low-carb day...

Good morning, low carbers.

Sunkeeper - watching how it goes with Bridezilla, wondering how my daughter will do when her time comes. And wow, so close to goal!

Linda - Wow, congratz on hitting your goal! Onward to the rest of your life.

TOFU - the new interface is awful on my mobile devices but I don't mind it so much on the computer. But definitely not thrilled with the changes.

checking in. Tofu, i like the new interface better actually, seems more streamlined to me. I use a lot of the same foods regularly so having them come up automatically is a huge time saver for me.

No weight loss AGAIN! thats 2 weeks now. But I did lose 1/2 inch around my tummy so that a YAY!

Morning...Myrna is ill...have been for 2 days...stomache bug of some kind..I'm going to have some egg drop soup...I don't really care what the carb count is as long as it taste good...

Checked SNOPES on the Honey Cinnamon thing...they said that info had been around since about 1995...not much info to base on if it works or not.

Sunkeeper: Co-worker and I made up....she will live another week...

Later...I'm going to go get some soup! Have a LC Day!

good morning. Day 3 of my renewed diet plan, weight is down 2.5 lbs. but I suspect water weight.
I like the changes for food entry, I think they'll just take a little getting used to. I like that if I type in soy milk and it finds unsweetened silk it plugs that in instead and I can see exactly what I had. I like the usual meal stuff better and that I can do it all at once, not as time consuming. I haven't tried the mobile yet, but I will.

Good morning all. Been a great day so far. Went out to eat last night at Applebees with my daughter, had steak and broccoi, and stayed completely on plan. Woke up this morning 2 lbs. lighter. Total loss for the week is 8 lbs. I'm pretty sure all the water I'm drinking is helping. I plan on joining the gym Saturday.
