Good morning everybody! I'm down 800gr. (it shows a kilo at my ticker which is not right but ok). I resisted an extra delicious dessert I made for my husband last night (sth like a greek baklava but with cream). Well, there's left a little today but I have guests so I hope it will be out of sight soon...
And I got stressed too because I yelled at my baby boy...and I was ready to eat that piece of sweet..but I didn't! That's a change!
Have a nice week everyone!

Good Monday morning to you.

Myrna, I'm surprised at the limit number of low carb items now available. There use to be a time when most restaurants had either Atkins or South Beach on their menus, now it's WW or nothing at all. You just may be on to something, certainly would be worth doing a business plan on if nothing else.

I got a whoopie pan when I was shopping the other day so now I need to try out some of the suggestions, thinking it might be time for a hamburger, with a bun!

Good job Linda, every kilo is one you don't have to do again.

To everyone else, hope today is a low carb great. Get up and move if only a bit, work your way up to movin movin movin, grovin, grovin, grovin. All of it helps to make you a better you.

Hi, everybody!

Just popping in to say hello...

Myrna- I think you're on to something with the low-carb restaurant idea. Like Sunkeeper said, there are barely any low-carb options on the menus of most restaurants. I don't know...it's like we're discriminated against or something. As long as you do the cooking, I'll go in to business with you!Laughing

Linda- Way to go on the kilo lost! 2.2 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!!

I have an appointment with my running shoes...then I'm off to the gym. Mondays can be grueling!

Have a beautiful low-carb day, everyone!

Good Morning...I got on the scale this morning and the lyin a$$ said I gained 3 pounds...I think it was all the sodium I took in! So, I am going to weigh in again in the morning and see if it is still lying and if it is...I will never eat again! Just kidding...on the eating part!

Myrna-
I hate it when that happens. Don't worry, my friend, it's just water weight. Smile

Myrna - I'd love a low carb restaurant. One of my local diners has a low carb section of their menu and I have to say that makes me feel really welcome. It is nice to be able to just order off the menu without saying "please no croutons, please no bread, please no .........."

Tenkilos - I am really enjoying my sandwich-a-day. It is really nice to have "hand food" for a change. Crumbs I can live without though. LOL

Toni - I hope you feel better soon!

I'm jealous of all the corned beef eaters. I didn't cook any this year because this weekend was so packed with other stuff. A lot of commercial corned beef has some additive that I can't have so I either have to brine it myself or get it from a butcher who does their own (which our Whole Foods does, they even used to corn buffalo). Oh well, planning on pork chops from my grass-fed pig with cabbage tonight. Smile

99 Delicious Paleo Recipes [Kindle Edition] free today only. Just FYI.

Edit:
Hmm, the lack of a table of contents/index makes it pretty unusable. And there is too much honey for my diet. But hey, free.

Myrna, could easily be sodium, I often go up a bit down a bit then whoosh down a big drop... I only record the downs! I had a good laugh at the restaurant name, will think of some ideas today whilst I'm painting.
Toni get well soon!
Rowan I'll check out the links, maybe the recipes could be adapted...
Ogliz and Dialup, have a great LC day I ope the rain clears soon, sunny autumn day here Smile

A whoopie pie is a sandwich cake made by putting scoops of cake batter on a sheet pan. They puff up in the middle but are thin around the edges. It is filled with some sort of fluff creme.

A whoopie pan would have shallow round indentations to keep them from spreading.
