Hey everyone!
I've been keeping up with reading but just haven't had a chance to post. Well done! Everyone seems to be keeping on track really well. Smile

I'm down to 63.1kg (139lbs) now, only 100g away from my next mini goal. I've been keeping on track really well, have been trying lots of the recipes from the recipe thread - I made Rachel's chili recipe and it was SO good! Normally I would use 500g (1.1lbs) of ground beef to feed 4 people, but instead I used a whole kg (2.2lbs) so that I could have some leftovers to freeze for lunches.. there was just enough for me to have for lunch the next day and the rest of it was inhaled by my family (and me, hehe)! Dang it was good. I'm gonna make more of it tomorrow and hopefully I'm able to freeze it before it's eaten, lol.

I also made the taco bake and the spinach stuffed chicken (although I was too lazy to stuff the chicken, I just piled the mixture on top of the chicken breasts and topped with cheese - it was good).

My birthday's coming up next week and my family and I are going to a restaurant that serves really nice tapas which I think will make it easier to stay on track so I'm looking forward to that!

Hope you're all having a nice day!

THanks for the warm welcome everyone. I just found the recipe thread today. Looks like I've got some cooking to do!

We had some rainy weather today, so I did my walking at the mall. Didn't even do any shopping!

We've all made it to Thurs, wow, good job everyone!

This morning I've noticed a trend in my journal, every Wed I pop up a bit and sometimes on Thurs too. Tues I'm out all morning and don't drink water in the usual fashion I do the other days of the week, can not believe what a difference that makes as it's the only thing that is different. Sure goes to show how important the water is so drink, drink, drink.

We're going to have spring time temps in the up coming days before it dives again next week but I know everyone is going to enjoy the hints that better days are ahead. Can't wait to get outside and work in the garden, go for long walks and maybe even running on the trails.

Life is good, soon the trees will be budding, the birds will be coming back to their summer homes and we'll all be thinner! Enjoy today, you'll never get it back again.

Leikoa Congratulations on the weight loss! So excited for you to reach that next goal. I agree that Tapas will be much easier to stay the course...sounds like fun!

Kandy Way to stay the course!

Sunkeeper You are right water plays a huge roll and makes a big difference. Enjoy your springtime temps. I woke up this morning to rain and then some snow. I want SPRING!!

April Yes our bodies are crazy!! So happy for your loss though...that is great!

As for me didn't get my exercise in....turns out my body needed a nap moreso than the exercise. I am still eating on track and my weight is not really changing. I am supposed to go with DH to the eye doctor this afternoon (eyes get dilated), but hope to get a walk in before we go. I am tossing some chicken in the crock pot and guess I will use canned cream of mushroom soup (maybe only half of it and will add heavy cream to balance it out) for dinner tonight. I hope you all have a great day!

Hello all,
I am fat fasting today and probably for the next couple of days. The stalling on 170 is driving me a little nuts.
I did buy and download Dana Carpender's Fat Fast recipes book so that may help some, but I think I'm still looking at bacon, avocados, cream cheese and pork rinds for the next few days. ~le sigh~
Ah well, it's all for the best and I'll survive this. I mean really ... I did it for 10 days last time, 3 days should be no problem.
The weather here is going to be gorgeous today so I may make the daughter go for a walk with me and the dog.
I hope everyone is doing well and that your day is happy and healthy. Smile

Not sure if I should check in and bring down all the great up posts. After a fat fast and two weeks on induction I totally went off the deep end and had sweet potato fries at lunch today. Wouldn't have ordered them but the waiter brought them over "on the house". So Saturday I may go back on the fat fast for a few days to get quickly back in ketosis. That is unpleasant enough that it may help the next time I'm tempted. *sigh*

Gratz to those who are doing well!

Rowan, never be afraid to come in and share setbacks. The entire process of reprogramming yourself for new way of eating is a journey. We all slip. We all make bad choices, it's life, it happens. Don't judge your success by your slips. Judge it by how many times you get back up and go on. Smile

Toni--awesome advice to Rowan and it sits well with me right now too. I am also back on the fat fast after my day of devilish eating. I'm going through tomorrow and that will be five days of the FF for me. I hope that once I go back into induction I can maintain a loss.

Time to call it a night! Here's looking forward to Friday and a fabulous weekend of good low carb choices.

Rowan ~ Setbacks happen, just keep on going!

Fat Fasting seems to be popular. Good luck everyone.

Can anyone tell me how to add mini goals to my weight profile? I have a weight goal entered. It's not my final goal, but I didn't want to feel like it was unachievable. Thanks.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Friday!

KandyKiddo- To add mini goals, you need to add them as a part of your signature (at least that's how I think everyone is doing it). Here are the directions:

Go to MY FATSECRET Tab at the top-->
In the drop down box, choose "Go to My FatSecret"-->
You will see "My Toolbox" in the right column-->
Choose "My Signature"-->
Under "Edit Your Signature" add your name (if you wish) and your list of mini goals. This information will appear every time you post automatically.
Good luck!Smile

I hope everyone is doing well...As for me, seems like I've stalled at 136lbs. Maybe I'm adding muscle from working out, or maybe my body just "likes" this weight--but either way, it's frustrating. Doubt

Congrats to all who are losing, and good luck to all on the Fat Fast! Have a great day, everyone!

It's Friday, great weekend ahead, lots of plans?

KandyKiddo, go to the fatsecret main page then go to signature on the right hand side. You can put what ever you like in the signature space mid way down the page, click save and it goes on all your posts.

Hope this bug leaves you soon Jaime, you've not had a good time of it lately at all. Feel better friend.

Toni maybe there will be some new ideas in the cookbook, hope so for your sake as the fat fast seems pretty limited. I've been trying to keep my fat at about 80% which really seems to be working well. If I need more on a certain day I hit the candy, coconut candy that is of coarse which bumps it way up and tastes oh so good.

Rowanfair, get back up in that saddle. There is nothing in this world more important than your health. Don't let the demons win, you've done so well and I know you will jump right back in again, your a doer. Don't feel bad though, we're here to help pick you up when you fall. Give me your hand, I'll pull you back into the fold.

MorePlease, you too, I have 2 hands. The road gets shorter every day and soon you'll not only see your goal, you'll reach it!

There is usually about a 30 oz difference in water that I drink on a normal day as opposed to Tues. That 30 oz relates to almost a pound every week bobbing around which is unreal and while I'd noticed it before I never realized it was so consistent. I'm going to have to figure out what to do about it, that's the hard part. I always have a bottle of water in the car but hardly ever remember to drink it, might even have to set my phone to remind me.

Went shopping in my downstairs closet yesterday, what fun. I had more to wear than I realized which is great as things are really looking horrible on me, tents on a totem pole. Even a sweater than I love looked just awful when I tried it on, it's going to have to go even though it's a favorite.

Cheers to everyone for another low carb successful week. Keep up the great work all.

Morning all. Just checking in. Julie, I'm not sure what plan you are using, but with mine (Atkins) a stall is defined as four weeks with no loss of weight or inches. That definition always helps renew my patience when the scale doesn't move every week. Stay strong!

Good morning everyone!
My, it's been quiet in here! Where is everyone?
I finally broke through the 170's and weighed in at 169.1. Thank Goodness! I'm hoping to get down to 165 before the end of the fat fast. That way even if I do bounce up a pound or two, I'll still be in the 160's.
We go to pay for our new refrigerator today. I doubt they'll deliver it tomorrow - but maybe we'll have it on Monday.
I have a ton of stuff to do so I'll check in periodically today.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Dialup75- Thank you for that...I feel better now.Very Happy

Yes, Tony, it has been kind of quiet around here...
Here's to your new refrigerator! Yeah!! I know that you will love it! Did you get the kind that has the ice and water in the door so you don't have to open the refrigerator every time you want a glass of ice water? I recently remodeled my home and got all new appliances. I can't tell you how excited I was! Words to the wise: Be sure to keep the receipt and book in a safe place where you will remember where they are, and don't drag you feet signing up for the warranty that comes with it. You never know...

Well, I need to do some actual work now. I'll check in later to see how everyone is doing...

Hi everyone...just checking in...one of the snot noses brought a cold home to share...I know I got it from them drinking out of my water glass...I even bought them their own glass! I'm doing mainly fluids right now....I can't taste anything! I'll be better soon and then I can cook some more...The snot noses want me to make pepperoni pizza out of Oopsie Rolls...will try when feeling more human! Have a great low carb weekend!

We have chosen a path in the road...sometimes we will hit a bump, trip on a rock, miss a corner, and slam right into a mountain....but if we just back up a little, we can get right back on the path!

Myrna - hope you feel better soon.
Julie & Sunkeeper thanks for sharing with KandyKiddo. I learned from it also.
Sunkeeper - I was keeping my fat at 70%, not losing but not gaining. Maybe I'll try 80% and see if that works. If not, I guess I'll be doing a fat fast to get me kickstarted.
Toni - your advise is well taken. It's nice to be able to share set back and accomplishments.
I am going to try a few new receipes - stuffed jalepeno's and the oopsie roll,if I can find the receipe.
ave a great weekend everyone!
