Thank you so much, Jaime and Rowanfair!! Great information...I'm sold! I used 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to fry egg whites this morning, but I'd rather put it in my coffee like you do, Jaime. Thanks again, ladies!

Congrats on the new clothes, Angie!!

Have a great afternoon, all!

Hey Julie, you are welcome. From one k-cup I put 8 oz in my mug and another 4 oz in my bullet. Then in the bullet I add coconut oil and butter and some torani sugar free french vanilla. I blend it till it is whipped and add it to my mug and mix with the rest of the coffee. There are times that I will also add some heavy whipping cream to the bullet (when I am trying to bump up the fat or like right now is Lent and I will typically do it on Friday when it is a Fast day). Then I whip it all up and pour into my mug. It is almost like having a cappucino...very good! I hope you enjoy it.

Congratulations Angie! It is so fun to wear new smaller clothes. I am very happy that I kept my small clothes so I can just go on a 'spree' in my closet...haha. I am going to have a garage sale with my daughter...may not sell too many of my clothes, and the rest I will donate, but it will be nice to get rid of them. DH keeps asking me if I need new clothes...I do NOT need new clothes...have a wardrobe that I am slowly getting back into...hahaha.

Whoop took a work break and got my treadmill together. Did 5 minutes on it mostly at a jog!!! Worked great. So excited to see if the couch to 12k app works. Also that means that DD can get on it and run her 1.5 miles so she can make sure that she can whittle her time down to under 15 minutes. Shouldn't be a big problem for her since she use to run Cross Country and 800 meter in track.

Jaime- That sounds delicious! I don't have a bullet (I need to get one, though), but I do have a blender. I wonder if that would work? I bet it would. I'll try it in the morning. Thanks again!!

It's so cool that you have a new treadmill! I have one too, but I like to run outside... (We are having beautiful weather lately.) I have an app that I use to run with too- It's called "Jog Log." It's a GPS, logs my runs, counts my calories burned, tells me my speed, and talks to me to boot. I know you'll love your running app...I don't know how I ever got along without mine!Very Happy

Dorothy, knock those gremlins off your shoulder, that's where your pound is I'll bet. They sneak in when your not looking and attach themselves, takes a really good shake (like a dog does) to wrestle them free.

You'll love the treadmill Jaime and bonus if the rest of the family is going to use it too.

I have to take a shopping day to the US and get me some of this sugar free syrup everyone talks about. Need lots of other things to that we just can't get here.

Hey Toni, you could do us a favor and keep that storm, looks like it's coming here once your done with it bringing freezing rain and snow depending on the temp for both Tues and Wed. I'm not sure I'm ever going to see the light of day again, starting to feel like a mushroom here. And to think we didn't have a flake on the ground in Jan. Have the seasons moved back a space or something?

Have a great evening all and don't let those gremlins that Dorothy shakes off attach themselves to YOU!

Hi guys,

I've caught up on every post but I'm not gonna try to reply to them all hehe. Smile

Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts about my job! My boss took me aside this morning and said that he was sorry for not talking to me earlier, he's just been busy but that he really wants to keep me on and things are looking very positive for a contract extension (although still not 100% guaranteed but he's very confident) - possibly even a 6 year extension!!! So more positive thoughts over this way please! It worked for Jaime's daughter so I'm sure you guys can work some magic for me too, lol. So, still not a definite "please sign here" but good news anyway, at least I know they're trying to keep me on so that makes me happy!

I've been a bit slack lately, still low-carbing and following induction, just been lazy with it, portion sizes, haven't been eating enough veges, etc. but I kept well on track this week and am down .5kg to 64kg (141 lbs). Went for a long walk last night with the bf, we walked/jogged for 1 1/2 hours, did a big circuit around and through the botanic gardens that I live just down the road from. We were doing regular running to train for the 8km fun run in March but the bf has trouble with shin splints and he started to have pain again so we've cut it down to brisk walking with occasional jogging now (much more my style anyway, hehehe).

I'm so proud of you guys, I'm seeing heaps of losses and new dress sizes! Keep up the good work. Very Happy

Julie hope you like the coffee. That app you have sounds like the Runkeeper app I have. It has GPS and records my route and distance and miles per minute and talks to me. However, the weather here is not nice enough to really use it right now...lol

Sunkeeper Got my first use out of it today with my Couch to 10k app. Tomorrow is supposed to be a 'rest' day so I will likely do the stupid stationary bike...blah

Leikoa That is some positive news about your job; although it is still not a relief from worrying, but does sound good. I will keep you in my prayers. Congratulations on the loss!! Those shin splints can be a pain for sure. My daughter had them one year...her doctor told her stretch stretch and work your way up to the distance to ease your body into it. Glad y'all are cutting it back some to reduce the stress. Good luck!

Well I'm back, and finally got the courage to step on the scale. I gained 1.6 pounds. I stuck with the plan for about the first 3 days of 10. Then slowly, I started eating things I shouldn't. Its really hard living out of a motel and trying to stick with this WOE.

But, as soon as I was home, I was right back on track. I'm hoping to drop that 1.6 pounds (and more) in the next few days.

It sounds like all of the rest of you have been doing well. It was nice to get back to this group and hear all the positive progress.

Waiting for Angie to get up and report in, Angie, GET UP! We're running neck and neck in this marathon, not sure which will get to the finish line first as I don't think either of us has really determined for sure where the finish line is yet, lol. I do know we can trade clothes and she's got new ones, yea. I bought 1 pair of size 12 jeans last week as I was so sick of always hiking mine up and getting to the point I was afraid I'd be out somewhere and they'd fall off me, would not be good I can assure you as I still have a very long way to go to look good without clothes on..... I doubt bikinis are in my future but hey, I can dream.

I have a story to tell, hope it doesn't bore you all to death but here goes. My daughter ran her first 1/2 marathon on Sun which I reported. She trained for it for months and was so excited and nervous, we talked last weekend about her fear of something happening to steal her dream. Well she did accomplish her dream but I'm not sure yet at what cost, looks like she ripped some ligaments and tendons in her knee trying to move around some of the slower people in front of her, 20,000 were in the race. I knew by her time something wasn't right and even told DH she was hurt, I just had a feeling from the 5K mark, mother's intuition? BUT, here's the part what relates, she undertook this race with 3 co-workers, her boss, a girl that works for her and that girl's sister. They had said from the get go they were in it together and would finish it together and they did with 2 of the others holding her up to cross the finish line, one on each side taking the weight off her knee. As a team they realized their dream.

We are a team too and should there be one that needs holding up then I'm here to help take some of the weight off you too, I know there will be a fight for the other side of you as we all want each of us to cross that finish line. Together we will hit the goal post, as a team we will score, we will win, WE can do this. No one is alone, we're in this together. For some the race has just begun, for others they are getting worn out from not being able to see the finish line yet but it's there, we just need a team effort for each of us to break the ribbon at the end, there is a prize just waiting for all. I want that prize and I want all my friends to have it too.

Come on team LC, it's time to give it our all! Go team go, go team go!

Good morning, everyone...

Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day, so there's no excuse for me to not get out and run!Smile

Jaime- I made your coffee concoction with my blender this morning, and WOW was it good! Thanks for explaining how to make it so well. You were right--tastes like a cappuccino.

MusicGirl7- Boy, it must be tough trying to eat right when you're staying in a motel. Hang in there!

Linda- Here's a pork fillet recipe from the Atkins website: Atkins Grilled Ginger Pork Tenderloin.

Sunkeeper- That was a beautiful story, and so motivating!! Thanks for sharing!!Smile

Well, I'm off to get the day started with some deviled eggs for breakfast. Love deviled eggs!

Sorry Julie, I just saw your question but I think Jaime answered it exactly the way that I would have. I make Bulletproof coffee minus the butter, subbing Coconut oil and DaVinci sugar free syrup. It's delicious! But it sometimes upsets my stomach.

Sunkeeper - I love how positive and upbeat you are! Congrats on the most recent loss! We are a team and as a group, we are unparalleled.

Angie - You look fantastic! I just cleaned out my closet to get rid of everything that was now too big. I'm waiting to do a shopping trip until I've lost some more weight. I'll bet it felt good to put those 12's on! Smile

MusicGirl - 1.6 is really not that bad! I'm sure that will come off in a day or two.

SunKeeper - It is a winter wonderland out there. The first storm dumped 14.7 inches on us. The blizzard from yesterday only dropped 8. This is a record for our area.
It is absolutely beautiful out there. I put a big pot of chili in the crockpot yesterday. My poor daughter is so bored that she randomly cleaned and organized things.

Dorothy - Don't let that scale get you down! Slow and steady wins the race. You are doing so well, you really are. Things will regulate and start dropping again. And yes, get that water intake up! Much love to you, sweetness.

I'm off to put some orders together and possibly shovel my driveway. (Possibly)
I'm starting to decorate my office so that it feels like a space that I want to work in as soon as I step into it. Right now I've got an orderly chaos thing going. Feeling a great deal better since yesterday but still not up to 100%.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
- Toni

Good Morning....I am doing a rendition of a FAT FAST to get over the wall...Thank you so much for your concern!

Sunkeeper: I hope your daughter had her knee checked out..I don't want her limping along for a year like I have been!

Have a great low carb day!

Good Morning All,

Thanks for the encouragement about the gained 1.6 pounds. Actually, I did lose 1.4 last night, so only .2 to go and I'm back to where I was.

I have a cruise coming up in 2 weeks, and that travel put me behind a little. I had a goal in mind for the cruise, but I don't think I'll make it. However, I have to remember that I'm still headed in the right direction.

Myrna, I love your motto: "Don't Look Back - You are not going that way." It reminds me to not stress over what I already gained, but just keep going in the direction to continue losing. That's a much more positive emotion.

Did someone mention deviled eggs? Yummm - I think I'll go make some.

Good morning/evening ladies and gentlemen(yes there are a few of you)!!!

The pounds are still steadily dropping and tomorrow I go back to the 3 day thing. Hoping for great results by next weigh in on Sunday. So far everything has gone wonderfully.

Everything has suddenly picked up pace here. I'm nearing finals of my LAST class and the beginning of my internship. That only lasts 4 weeks then I'll finally be an official college graduate and career bound. I've been putting in applications like a mad woman (part of my govt program for single moms) and building my resume more and more each week. Praying that I won't have to wait too long after graduation to find a new job. Until I do(and after of course), I'll be happily shedding pounds and preparing for a new me!

Deviled eggs---I need to go get some on the stove to boil right now!

I hope everyone who is sick/injured gets well super quick.

Congrats to all the losers out there and those that are stalling or even gaining--hold on tight your time is coming too.

Sunkeeper-That was a wonderful and inspiring story. You are right, we are all in this together and I will gladly help carry anyone that needs carrying to the finish line with me because I'm not stopping until I'm there.
~Rachel~

MusicGirl welcome back...water, water...I am sure you will lose it quickly. I have a deviled egg frequently. It helps me get my fats up with the mayonnaise

Linda how did the kale turn out? What did you decide to do with it?

Sunkeeper I hope your daughters injury isn't too terrible and that she has a quick recovery. That is so awesome that she realized her dream. I loved your post. You are right we are all in this together all we have to do is 'lean' when we need it and someone will be there to help support us!

Julie I am glad you liked the coffee!! I enjoy coffee in a whole new way now Wink

Toni Like you I am cleaning the closet out. I am collecting a bed full of clothes to put in my daughters garage sale and will donate the balance. I need to be able to find my smaller clothes...LOL. Glad you are feeling somewhat better. Our snow stopped yesterday and I am so glad as I am really ready for spring.

Myrna Good luck on your fat fast!!

Rachel Gosh girl things are speeding up so fast for you. I am really excited for you and this next step. Congratulations on the pounds lost!!! Take care of you with all that you have going on!!

I did my Day1 of Week 1 Couch to 10k app yesterday and it worked really well. I enjoyed my treadmill. Today is a 'rest' day; so I will have to get my exercise in a different way. Then tomorrow is the treadmill again. My weight seems to be bouncing around 199.4/199.2 back and forth. TOM is still lingering so maybe when he goes. I am hoping the extra exercise that I am starting to log will help do the trick as well. Otherwise I will do another Fat Fast.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks everyone, I really ment every word of it, we are running this marathon and we're doing it as a team. We cheer each other on and we cry for the next when something goes a muck though through the tears we encourage and support. Without Toni's help I probably would have fallen and have to wonder if I'd have been able to get up I was so down on it all but she was there with her shoulder plus so many others too, you all pulled me through that speed bump and here I sit running again. I so appreciate the team effort shown by all towards me and I hope someday I can help each of you over a rough patch if needed.

My daughter got an appointment on Thurs morning for an x-ray and ultrasound on her knee, we'll see what goes on from then but I think she's done for a good many months. I just hope she doesn't need surgery so good thoughts everyone. Canada and it's "free" health care, I just hope waiting till Thurs doesn't do more damage. Our wait times are just ridiculous.

Went out this morning and did some shopping as it looks like I'll be housebound again for the next few days. Wonder if winter has any plans at all of ending this year?

Sunkeeper, wow what a great story, a nice read first thing in the morning here... very rousing!
Toni, nice to get things organised = my studio is very messy at the moment, every so often I try to get it tidy, and it does make me feel so much better about working in there. I think I had better do it today! The snow sounds so beautiful, but I know it's allot of work for you... glad you are feeling a bit better.
Julie enjoy your eggs Smile
Myrna, let us know how you do with the fat fast. Hope it does it for you.
Music Girl, I love cruising and have withdrawal symptoms... I wanna cruise! Lot's of temptation there though Smile
Rachel you sound as though you are on the brink of an exciting time, I hope all your dreams come true, smiling madly for you.
Jaime we ended up having dinner at our sons house, pizza and salad was on the menu, so I took some L C sausages which he did on the BBQ and we had them too... I didn't eat any pizza! So Kale is sitting in the fridge for tonight.. there's a recipe for Kale salad in the recipe thread so I'm thinking about doing that.

Home today, going to make some chicken and vege soup, I bought 2 chickens for $7... how cheap is that!
Love chicken soup. Inspired by Toni to clean up my studio, but there is a painting on the easel that I'm excited about so we will see what happens when I go in there...
My husband has been off work for 2 weeks with a sore back, he goes back to work tomorrow, I'll miss him, but will be more organised here LOL

I encourage all our newbies to jump in and say hi, we are almost 300 members!

For anyone I have not mentioned have a great L C day ...
