Hey everyone,

Thanks BBD for clearing up my custom food confusion! I can't believe I hadn't noticed the "New food" option when you add a new food, lol.

After a big splurge weekend (Sat-Mon) I started back on induction on Tuesday and am down 1.2kg (2.6lbs). It's just water weight but there's nothing like a quick loss to motivate you to stay on track hehe.

The fat fast sounds like a good way to get past a stall so I might have to plan one so I'm prepared if I stall again. Thanks for the links and stuff. Smile

I had hot wings for breakfast today (lol! left over dinner Wink). Smoked salmon was on special this week (I bought several packets and froze it, it defrosts really well) so I'm having a smoked salmon, brie and avocado salad today for lunch. BBQ'd lamb skewers with a mint yoghurt sauce, BBQ's garlic prawns and salad for dinner, yum!

Hope you're all having a nice day. Smile

Hi everyone, I've been away from here for a couple of days, glad theres been so much happening here, but will take a while to catch up!
My daughters came to stay, one of them's getting married later this year so we have been wedding shopping!
Found the dress, bridesmaids dresses, flower girls too, mine maybe... reception and church booked, save the date cards nearly done... food sorta picked, flowers being organised soon... she's getting Christened this Sunday.. Macedonian Orthodox, I Christened my other 2 when they were baby's but we didn't do her... so she has to be Christened to get married in their Church.
Busy days... food wise all ok here

Vcravener—Zumba sounds like a lot of fun and a LOT of work. Sounds like you’ve been doing lots of exercising lately.

HDP welcome!! I see they’ve already answered your question about checking in! Good luck in your journey.

Myrna--- we all have to ask questions! Slowly but surely your knee will get a bit better just keep at it. You’re not a bad girl just because you didn’t exercise. Sometimes it’s good to just take a day off, especially with an injury.

Dorothy- You are so very right about being glad this class is over. I have been having horrible times with the FATsecret error messages. As for the fasting, I thought it would be horribly hard to skip meals too but I found myself almost relieved that I didn’t have to figure out what to eat and I wasn’t really hungry as long as I kept drinking water and stuck to the fatty foods the day before.

MorePlease – Congrats on being able to stick to the fat fast! I look forward to reading about your weight loss journey! GREAT news being in deep ketosis!!

Toni- SO glad to see you’re back! I have missed seeing your post. I am going to have to look more at the fat fasting. The only fasting I’ve done in the past is just a straight water diet for 24 hours. I’m headed over to read about the fat fasting on Atkins website now. I need to make a decision about which form of fasting I’ll be doing tomorrow.

Sunkeeper- so sorry you are discouraged. I’ll go look at your records and see if theres anything in particular that may be causing issues. Don’t give up! We as a group will keep working until we find out what is going on and get your scales headed in the right direction. In the meantime, try taking all of your measurements and see if you can find a difference there in a week or so. Remember that muscles weigh more than fat and if you are exercising daily you should be converting fat weight to muscle weight.

Jaime!! Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry that he has to watch things but it is good news for you. Now you can kick all those bad foods right on out of the house and tell him its best for both of you! I will go look at your journal and post more there.

Sarah—I’m right there with you. I’m going to jump in for it tomorrow and see what happens. Worst case scenario I don’t lose any weight but I don’t think it’ll be possible to gain.

ANGIE!!! Your posts are definitely missed. That is just wonderful about being asked out to go to a wedding none the less AND going to get to go dress shopping—on his pocket. Way to go girl!!! You are doing an astounding job and look great. Good luck on meeting your 165 goal. I’m sure you’ve got it.

Linda- congrats again on your daughter’s engagement. You have been one busy lady!! You are a lot further ahead than some brides are two days before their weddings. Glad everything is going well food wise for you! You are right the forums have been busy busy but I’m loving all of this activity.

I have been sticking to plan although I haven't been logging so great lately. I went shopping today with my mom and managed to only eat low carb foods for lunch and supper. I also did a lot of day dreaming about my "almost" clothes. Size 14 is just around the corner. I can get them on just not buttoned and they aren't anywhere close to comfortable. I also found a magazine with some new Atkins recipes that I will post as soon as I get a chance--tomorrow I'm sure.

Good morning to all FS friends.

Myrna Louise: It's so helpful to have the encouragement from everyone, sure good on the down days knowing your not alone in this battle.

Jaime: I've been logging everything in my food diary, is it not showing? Still need to learn more about getting around in here to ensure I have things set properly.

mjstan: I've actually been over the 20 carbs most days, not by a whole lot and being I've already lost some I haven't worried about it.

I am determined, I will make this happen. It's just going to take longer than I had thought. The first couple of months were so easy, I'm sure it's just a stage. I did some measuring on Mon so we'll see what happens next Mon when I do more. That may tell the tale.

Hope everyone has a great day, be good to yourselves.

Hi there everyone,
I'm stealing a moment to drop in and say "hi". I did the Valentine's Day updates in the shop last night and sold out in literally, 4 minutes. So that's good. I am slammed busy with work and that doesn't leave me a great deal of time for much else.

Rachel - if you decide to do the fat fast, make sure that 90% of your calories are coming from fat. Otherwise it's just too hard and you won't see the results the way you should be.

Sunkeeper - Welcome to the group! May I add you as a buddy so that I can take a look at your food diary? Your settings are set to friends only.

Linda - You must be terribly busy! But also very happy.

Okay, I'm off to package orders and have some coffee.
Have a great day, everyone!
- Toni

Monday morning my scale mocked me at 174.8 lbs. After Fat Fasting for 3 days, I laughed at that cursed machine as it read 169.4. That, my friends, is a 5.4 lb loss. Hopefully, I broke through the stall and can continue with the regular diet plan.

OK, I did my first weigh in. If I go by what I entered last time, I lost 3, but if I go by reality, I lost 7 because I lied (I know, silly me, denial at it's best) about my initil weight. So I will celebrate the 7 and know that going like this will bring me the results I am looking for.

MorePlease and Karentolose....WAY TO GO! It's a fabulous feeling! Everyone keep up the good work!

The excercise bike and I are going to try and get together again this evening...I'll up the Aleve to keep the inflammation down.

Your daily chuckle: I was sitting here reading the posts, picked up my coffee, went to take a drink and missed my mouth and poured coffee all over me and my desk! Good thing I am wearing black! LOL... Memo to me....take eyes off computer before lifting coffee cup!

Have a great day everyone!

Have been crazy busy and am very sorry I havent been able to check in. Been doing great so far. Haven't cheated all week! I've kinda been slacking on my food log but I will try to work on updating that now. Gone to the gym twice this week but when its 4 degrees not including windchill its so hard getting up at the regular time let alone at 5!

Welcome to all the newbies! This is a great group to keep you on track and help when you hit a rough patch!

Congrats to all doing well and for those who got off track, hop back on and we're here to help.

Been doing a TON of research lately and have found a few products that are great and lowcarb. The ingredients are all natural too! Here are the links to the products I'd suggest:

AdvoCare Slim® – Caffeine Free

AdvoCare Slam®

V16® Energy Drink

Coffeccino®

If you want to buy any THIS is the site

Sunkeeper - I cannot see because your information is private, but sounds like Toni is taking a peek so she should have some good feedback.

Toni - wow busy bee! That is great about the sell out. You are doing great on the Fat Fast - kudos to you!

Moreplease and Karen - congrats to both of you as well for the success you are having on the Fat Fast - that is AwEsOmE!

Myrna - take care of that knee! I hope your coffee wasn't very hot! LOL

Sarah - congrats on your loss! I think you would like the Fat Fast.

Michelle - thanks for the links cannot wait to take a look

Okay as for me...I did the Fat Fast yesterday and was down 1.4# this morning...that is with little voiding and TOM nipping at my heals. So I am quite pleased with how it went.

Today I am doing the dinner to dinner fast (with bullet proof coffee) since we are going out tonight and tomorrow I will do another Fat Fast. I was not hungry yesterday. I had 1000 calories and felt satisfied all day. I would definitely recommend it to someone that has been following 20 net carbs and getting their water and are at a stall. I know I factored in a couple of glasses of wine with dinner tonight but not so sure I will go there. I am pretty pleased with this mornings weigh in.

I hope you all have a great day.

***edit: Today I WAS doing the dinner to dinner fast but my lovely daughter is still up and I could smell her food drifting into my office. It wasn't that I was HUNGRY, but it made me hungry. So I had a tiny piece of left over flank steak. If I leave off the wine tonight I may still be close to a fat fast...may have to go back and re-visit my food again.

Michelle, Advocare is a multi-level marketing company per Wikipedia. If you have done 'a TON of research' as you say, you might have wanted to state that here. It may be cool to promote that here on FatSecret, I don't know. Anyone else know?

Well after staying away from fs for a while (I was kinda getting obsessed) I would have to say that I am ready to come back because I need the support. I thought for sure I would be able to do this on my own, and you know what? I am not afraid to say it. I CAN"T. The support I have gotten from all of you has been wonderful. I have not lost or gained for a week now so ready to start tomorrow as a new day!
Tina

We can do this if we take it day by day and step by step~
