Christie, I am so glad you are back! Miss your good cooking inspiration. Sounds like you have a big semester ahead of you, eating healthy can only help your stress level, right?
Today I tried to do some exercises on the stability ball I bought over the weekend. Does it mean I am unstable if I think I need to practice just sitting on it? lol

Well, nothing wrong with starting off with a fresh board! LOL! Really odd how the posts all disappeared, but I'm sure we won't have any problem filling up the space again Razz

I'm just checking in for the day. Still no working computer of my own yet. I have caught up on all my dvr'd shows, though Smile I'm still stuck on my Brussels Sprouts kick, too Razz

Myrna! Good for you for staying under 20!! Big YAY!! Very Happy

MMM I really don't know what happened, I felt so sad when I realised they had gone into never never
land, but I'm over it now. Just a bit concerned for all our newbies because the older posts gave them a good idea of who we are and what we are about.

For the newbies- Welcome to our group! We post here every day, sometimes more as you can see!

Today for me, I had a great day, breakfast was greek yogurt with blueberries, lunch was corned silverside (beef) and tomatoes, dinner, I had some BBQ chicken left overs, so I made a chicken and prawn curry
zucchini/onion/mushrooms/cabbage/ tiny bit of carrot/ pumpkin/coconut cream/curry powder/fish sauce, a bit of a combination I know but I used up the bits and pcs of veges left in the crisper. It was very good!

Just checking in. Riding into DH office and will work remotely from there for the day. This will allow me to take MY truck to the dentist (haha) since DH has been driving in due to the weather and his nice pretty Challenger is garaged (men). Anyway, I have pre-made my bacon and have a boiled egg to take to work for breakfast. I have cooked some beef and mushroom and onion together and spread it in a container and topped it with cheese (I have some sourcream in another container to top it with once I heat it) and that will be my lunch. So all ready in that respect, but not sure what I will do about dinner tonight since I will not get home until 5pm. I should have thawed out a pork shoulder to put in the crock pot but obviously I did not think that far ahead. So if necessary we will make a stop by the store and I can cook up some more ground beef for myself...haha. Oh I do have three chicken breasts I can pop in the oven. So we will see.

I was WAY under my carbs yesterday and in ketosis this morning. So hopefully that will help move me out of the hovering weight that I have been at and I need to continue to watch my carbs for a couple of days and try to keep them lower to help keep me out of the 208's and then I can reset to my next mini goal of 5#.

I hope you all have a great day. Remember we can do this. That 'indulge' that we allow ourselves equals 'bulge'. (haha saw that on my phone yesterday and thought...hmmm how true that is).

Final post - THANK YOU FOR THE 5 POUNDS LOST! Your support was very much appreciated. BTW - I'm not quitting low carb (this is my forever life style). I just am not going to strictly count them. Love you guys!

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all are having a great day. I've forbidden myself to weigh in daily (which just stressed me out), but I'm sure I've lost a couple of lbs. this week. Even if I haven't, I feel great!! I haven't had this much energy in a very long time. Smile

Doing a happy dance!!!! Okay so my next mini goal was to make the 207's...this would put me at the lightest I have weighed since moving to Washington State. I have been lingering in the 208's for several days...jumping around by .2 or .4 or even .6 pounds. Yesterday I went over in my calories but my carbs were very low as I watched them strictly along with my sodium. Guess what?!?! I am out of the 208's and in the 207's....weighed 207.4# this morning. If the 207's stick tomorrow morning (which I expect them to as I am watching the carbs today to be lower than 20, and not right at it)then I will re-set my mini goal to 202's. This also means that I am ahead of schedule for the rest of the month of January!!! My goal is 5# a month to put me close to what I 'think' my goal weight will be by my birthday at the end of July. I think this should hopefully put me at around 180-170#. What a wonderful birthday present.

Anyway...not getting ahead of myself I am so happy that I am not lighter than I have ever been in Washington state...hahaha

oh wow.. so sad we lost all those posts but as Angie said I'm sure we can fill it up again pretty quickly!

Been super busy this past week/weekend so havent gotten a chance to weight in but i've been doing pretty good so i'm confident I'm doing fine. Made the Angeled Egg recipe today, soo yummy! (I substituted lemon juice for vinegar and will probably add a little cumin next time)

Snowed again last night.. was supposed to be a dusting.. nope theyre wrong again it was 5-6inches! Oh well I worked from home so I didnt have to deal with the mess of driving into work.

Great job jaime for meeting your goal!

For anyone who didnt get a chance before the posts were gone, if you want to check out/get some recipes for the South Beach diet, here is a cookbook i put together a few years ago that breaks the diet down into the 3 phases and includes recipes to go with them.
