I am new and not really following Atkins to a T, but doing low carb. I was 210 when I was very bloated and I've never been above 150 - but It's been 14 days and I'm 195!

Hi there. Thanks for finding me and inviting me to this group. I am near the end of week two of low-carbing it. I started my journey in January at 250 pounds and with exercise combined with low calorie/low fat, I lost 60 pounds. After prompting by a doctor I respect, I decided to give low carb a try. It has been a nice change with cheese, olives, and fattier meats. I had a great week one but was disappointed with week two (I actually gained weight). I am starting week three with a renewed attitude.

hello, I am on day two for low carbs. I have never stuck to a diet for more than 2 weeks but when I was younger my activity made up for what I wanted to eat. I SO want this to work.

Hi Smile and welcome to you both! We all help each other here, so if you have any questions about anything, there's a "General Questions" thread, also check out the "Recipes" thread and there are a couple of threads that have some good information about the benefits of water, fat, fiber, etc. And if you just wanna chat, share, vent or anything else, we do that in the "Daily Check In Here" thread Smile

I'm in the induction phase of Atkins. I've been working at this since mid October. The last three weeks I've been stuck. Just reviewed the induction phase guidelines, and my "stuck" is not unwarranted. Started today counting and being extra careful to pull in the "right" carbs. I started this part of my journey at 211. The last three weeks, I have averaged 198 lbs. fluctuating between 204 and 196. I'm ready to get back with the losing! Looking to be at my goal by my birthday!

Hi. I am not new to low carb dieting but I am new to this site. I have decided to start back hard core after slacking off the last 6 months or so. My new "lifestyle" is a mixture of South Beach, LCHF, and Paleo for food and doing some form of exercise 3-6 days a week. I have done a lot of research in the 4 or so years doing this, compiling articles and recipes. I would love to share what I have and am always eager to learn more!

Hello!
Wow, your all doing amazingly well. Congratulations!
I've just stumbled across this site, how have i not found it earlier. Its just what i've been needing!
I am trying to solve some auto-immune issues, been on no dairy for the past 2 months but recently found out that the soya milk i had replaced it with was supressing my thyroid function further! Drat! Also tryed lots of other things in month long trials since the summer.
Anyway, giving myself a break until January, when i'm going to go Paleo for two months. If it works out it might be more like forever.
I've been taught a lesson in not researching before hand so i'm doing lots of reading at the moment. Any Paleo advise would be much appreciated!
Anyway, thanks, and really looking forward to loosing weight and feeling better with you guys.
