This should be a nice forum to discuss the Keto lifestyle without the nay-sayers piling on. Thoughts, comments, suggestions? Aches, groans or moans (of approval)?

Nay, there be no naysayers here... narry any anyway (enough alliteration?)

Okay, revival's over - time for a new topic.

I just found this group. Love the little tidbits thrown out to us. I have lost 12, 20 to go. I need some help in what is termed as “keep it simple meal ideas” what does that mean?

It speaks more to reducing meal prep time/effort. The reasoning is if you can reduce the "trouble" of preparing something, you're more likely to experience success. For example, a simplistic one at that, you want scrambled eggs. Do you a) pull out the frying pan, find a spatula, turn on the stovetop, find a plate... OR, do you b) crack a couple of eggs in a small Tupperware container, shut it, shake it and nuke it in the microwave?

I have to be honest From371 - you totally lost me at nuking eggs in the microwave (I couldn't even type that without making a face!) but I support you in whatever gets it done for you!!! Smile

PS: I'm an egg snob, don't mind me.

Sure I'm on board - I actually like the microwave egg idea but I am a bit weird...lol I can tell you I'd love more ideas about how to reduce the amount of time I put into my keto diet prep, the biggest suggestion I can give at this point realizing I'm only about 2 months into this WOE is I find if way easier to prep meals on Sunday to have throughout the week and just pop them into the microwave after work or at lunch...I'm sensing a trend. My favourite right now is to cook up a big patch of ground beef with taco seasonings portion them out in freezer or sandwich bags put a couple in the fridge and a few in the freezer and throw it in my lunch with some lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese and salsa verde....quick taco salad so yummySmile

I don’t care for microwaved eggs, however I do bake eggs in a silicone cupcake mold then rehear in the microwave. Silly I know but it works for me.
