Hello, is there anyone out there currently doing the Ideal Protein diet that wants to communicate and talk about the program? I noticed that most of the postings are months old!
Today is July 15, 2011 and I just started the IP program two days ago.

Hi Kathy, Im Anna and I started the Ideal Protein diet on 07/18/2011 just a few days after you did. My starting weight was 297 and had my first weigh in yesterday 07/23/2011 i lost 8.5 lbs. My goal weight is 180 but would love to go down to 160, but my short term goal is to get off diabetes medication. Hope we can motivate each other and share ideas on how to stay motivated. Good luck on your weight loss journey : ) Anna

Hi,
I started the diet on July 13th, 2011. I have lost about 27 lbs so far. I also have gotten tired of salads and the few select veggies that I like off the list. But I am motivated to see this diet through. I want a lifesyle change, thats why I chose the Ideal Protein diet.
Would love to chat and hear of food ideas that others have.

Hello,

I have been on IDP from July 23 to current. Starting weight 215 lbs, Goal Weight 160lbs. So far I've lost a total of 25 lbs. Within the last two weeks I have struggled to stick with the program and fell of track. As of yesterday I am back on the program and am going to make it work to loose these last 30lbs. It's tough but it works if you work the program to the best of your ability. Good Luck to All

Hello! I've been on the program for 12 weeks and have lost almost 27 pounds. I love this program and find it easy to stick to. I often have trouble getting all of my food for dinner eaten because 8 oz. of meat is a lot for me along with 2 cups of vegetables.

I'm now on the 2nd phase of the program which added 8 oz. protein for lunch also and 2 supplements a day. Today, Thanksgiving, was my first day on this phase. I think I did very well!

Hi Chericakes - I just started IP on 2/22/12, on my 5th day, and hungry. I still don't feel so great but am sticking it out...lol

I've been doing IP since the beginning of the year and I'm down about 40 lbs so far. The first couple of weeks are a little tough but it gets easier. Keep up the good work!

The hunger does get better, but the first week is a little tough. Drink lots of water. I found I was constantly drinking those first few days especially. I am starting week 3 today. I also sometimes, save some veggies from my lunch and have them mid-afternoon to snack on. That helps. Keep it up. It works!!

There's a great website: 3 fat chicks on a diet. They have wonderful recipes for this program and great discussions to read and follow (it began in 2009). The have a thread for loose skin and what to do about it and all sorts of wonderful discussions. I go there frequently and I think I'll be joining. It's a very supportive group of people.
