Is there any difference between The Primal Blueprint and the Paleo Diet? (I can not really tell if this group is even active.)

I've been trying this type of food plan for a few months although initially gained some weight rather than losing any. I think I've figured out that may be a portion thing and being 55 now my metabolism has slowed down quite a bit recently.

I am still in the process of incorporating more regular exercise so between that and paying more attention to portions I hope to become more healthy, fit and my ideal weight, God willing.

best regards

Portion sizes are very important. Just keep eating wholesome, nutritious, unprocessed food and you'll get there.

Your portion size will decrease naturally as you increase your fat intake. Try, if possible, to eat pastured butter, natural fats from meat and seafood...avoid seed oils (soy, cottonseed, corn etc) You will lose your appetite and your portions will be totally under control. It works amazingly!

The main difference is primal allows some dairy and paleo doesn't. Like Kyle said, healthy fats like butter, coconut oil, olive oil make a big difference. Not only with appetite but to aid digestion.

I have just bought a cow share and am getting a half gallon of raw milk. I have never (that I know of) had problems with dairy...just keeping away from the sugar/flour occasional treats has been my downfall...the belly, she is a'jiggling....and oh my, what delicious milk...

Where in VA did you find the cow share? I don't drink that much milk any longer and don't know if it would be worth me driving very far away to get involved in this. I would love to taste it, though.

This farm is in Bridgewater. It's a fairly small farm. They deliver to certain areas. I am in Waynesboro.
