For those of you using your video game systems to exercise, the UFC Personal Trainer (PS3) is not worth the time. Sure, it has some great workouts, but there is a huge delay between workouts, and each session is between 14 and 16 minutes. It won't let you create varying workout plans based on time, type, and area of focus. Instead you are stuck with three trainers, and the sessions consist of punching and kicking. Not enough flexibility and variety for a productive exercise game. Just my two cents.

I didn't like it either... My camera didn't saw me on the floor doing those initial exercises (push ups, sit ups...) ... Too inaccurate...

The BEST exercise game I ever found was Kinetic (not to be confused with Kinect) for the PS2 (that is PlayStation 2) and the old Eye Toy camera. The game comes with a special wide-angle lens so it can see from floor to ceiling, and wall to wall. I lost about 10 to 15 lbs. playing that game and watching my diet. "Kinetic" actually let you configure your exercises, or put together a reasonable set of exercises. It was designed by numerous exercise and fitness groups, and was very professionally developed.

The camera worked well enough to play it (if you were consistent and reasonably patient). There were punching and kicking exercises in which you kicked targets that would explode when you hit them. There were dodging exercises where you would dodge falling objects and kick or hit others. The game would judge your push ups and situps reasonably well, and it had a great cool down mode. I have considered buying a used PS2 and forking out the cash for a "new" Kinetic game because No One makes a game like this one anymore. Considering the fancy technology that is available, I'm surprised both PS3 and XBox360 have dropped the ball (pun intended) on this one.
