I better go first hey!

I recently bought a ProForm 650 T Spacesaver Elliptical machine as my first ever piece of equipment because I wanted to try and get something that wasn't too expensive but that was good enough to use nearly everyday.

I have had it for a few months now and am using it in the home office we have which has a small TV in it as well. Mostly in the evenings is when I do my workouts for 15-20 minutes usually in front of a show.

I must admit I don't "love it" but am slowly building up my times and am feeling alot better now when I see a set of stairs in front of me lol Wink. I haven't really changed any of the settings which I need to do as well.

Glad to know others prefer to workout indoors. I like outside, but somehow i prefer to get the workout done at 6am - ish without thinking about what the weather is doing.

I'm a city girl, born and raised. I'm in Detroit and I don't live near a park, though its a nice neighborhood. I keep thinking someone's big A dog will sniff me out while I'm trying to get my work out.

I have a Life Fitness Treadmill that I love. I walked for years on a ProForm that had power incline and could fold. But this LifeFitness has "heartsync" workouts which adjust the speed and incline to maintain the chosen heartrate.

I also have a Torso Track II which I recently have put back in rotation -- for the Weight Lifting Challenge here.

And I have a step bench, a bunch of step and aerobic tapes and a couple other videos. Also weider weight set I got at Sears. I've been trying to be fit off and on for years, but I've almost always used the treadmill.

Hello everyone!

I recently purchased a Stamina elliptical machine. Like you Riv, I don't love using it either, but now that I bought one, I feel guilty if I don't use it because I have to look at it everyday.

I try to use it for an hour everyday. I haven't seen much for results yet, but then again it's only been a week Rolling Eyes

My boyfriend wants to get some sort of weight machine in the next coming weeks so hopefully once we get that I can incorporate weights into my routine as well.

Hey all!

I don't have any machines at home, but I practically LIVE in the gym when I can go!

I LOVE machines and contribute them to my (almost) 100 pound weight loss over a 19 month period.

What can I say, there are so many cross training options that are offered at the gymSmile

Hi there. I'm a treadmill junky, and I started using some digital workouts because when I get to the gym, because I didn't have a clue where to start. There are some great workouts online. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Hello all! Like Curvygirl, I too am a treadmill junky. I can go forever on that thing. It's in my house; so it's convenient. At the gym I like the elliptical machine, but I don't get there much.

Hi all,
I love all types of fitness equipment. I have a home gym complete with a treadmill, eliptical, bike, step bench, total gym, as well as various weights and videos. I also have free gym access by being a military wife. I have lost 70 pounds total this year and plan on losing 40 more.

I am relatively new to fitness, and I am building a gym in my house. Converting a 11' x 12' space once used as a bedroom, it is now in the process of being refurbished as a fitness room. I have a Nordic Trac Treadmill, punching bag and several other implements already. The walls are sheetrock with R-19 insulation to deaden the noise, and I installed 4' flourescent lighting flush mounted into the ceiling. I decided not to install carpet, because all of the sweat that pours off of my body. I've got some questions: Should I install a mirror on the wall? And, What is best used to clean my equipment and the floor of sweat? Are there other considerations I should implement?

Hi all...

My hubby bought me a cybex arc trainer for my birthday last year (I know... weird gift, but I really wanted one!) and I haven't used it regularly until a few months ago. Now, I try to do 45 mins 5days a week in addition to strength training. I have already seen a change in my body/health and I have more energy to devote to my 2yr old daughter. I love my arc trainer and find that it is easiest for me to get my workout over with first thing in the morning.

Hello to all!!!

I'm a long time athlete and gym junkie. Just recent picked up a tredmill for the house, not bad, I just miss the gym atmosphere. Still do most of my cardio outdoors due to the weather. Had to start lifting more at home as well due to work times. I've been having great success in my routine and love this site. I hope to pick up some good tips from others and to share as well.

I love working out at the gym whenever I can. I'm not very athletic but I really enjoy the high I get after a good long workout. My favorite is the eliptical because I can get a full body cardio workout and burn maximum calories. I especially love it because its the one cardio machine that I can work up a good sweat but it doesn't make me feel like my body is strained. I like to pass the time watching TV while I use the machine so that before I know it an hour has gone by and I've just burned 500+ calories while watching TV.

I used to really love working out at a gym but now I'm way to self-conscious to do it. I have made a pretty good workout area in my home. A treadmill, the ramp, step benches, and my favorite -- the stationary bike. I was lucky to find several dvds for use with a treadmill and bike. You can travel to Hawaii, Maine, Scotland, Ireland, hike in the woods and along seashores. It does help time go by and I like these better than watching a television show or listening to music.

I keep free weights, too. I love to do free weights. One thing I really want is a bench to use for weights. So I'm interested in how others use their equipment.

Hey! I was hoping to see how other people are doing with their TreadClimbers. It's new and I find it awkward. Has anyone mastered theirs?

Hey all - just joined the group. This looks like the thread for intros... My home gym includes a Pacemaster Treadmill, Octane Elliptical, chinup bar, various hand weights, and a mat for Yoga, Plyometrics, etc. I try to run 3 days/week and 3 days/week of resistance, but it rarely happens.

So this is the place for intro. Hi everyone, I love the gym, but hate to deal with parking and long lines to use gym equipment. I especially hate it when gym rats throw a towel over the display so they keep going while everyone has to stand and wait.

Answer: I bought a complete home gym about 7-8 years ago. It has been used here and there, but I just really got back into it after joining this site. I have a Precor treadmill, a Precor elliptical, Keys multi-station 200LB weight stack, Keys leg press and free weights. All this is stuffed into one bedroom which is tight for someone my size to maneuver, but I manage and eventually will slim down to a svelte 180-185 lbs.

Happy to be here and just tired of being obese, just want to be thin again.
