I just joined this group and saw that no one had replied to you. That must have felt terrible. What has happened with you since this post? Did you keep losing, or did you move into a later phase? If you happened to have read **New Atkins for a New You**, you'll see that you can go into Pre-Maintenance or even Maintenance if you've hit where you want to be.

Hi Wieghtlossmaniac, I have just returned to fatsecret, | will try to answer some of your questions.
I dont want to get underr 100lb so can i do induction for 10 days instead of 14? You can stay on induction as long as you want, Atkins stated 2 weeks minimum unless your wieght loss was at your goal or close to your goal wieght.

what should i do about phase 2? You add back in an extra 5 carbs each week until you stop loosing wieght, this is your wigt maintaning carb amount, lessen it to loose more wieght. Continue to eat only low carb veggies, can add some berries, tho low amount servings.

Will it make me gain wight back faster? What will make you gain wieght is adding too many carbs back in. Thats the total bottom line.

And also am i suppose to do strength training or cardio during induction? Cardio's purpose it to rev up your metabolism and get you into the fat burning zone..... If you do Atkins consistantly you will always be in the fat burning zone, that is what Atkins does, replaces your body fruel from carbs to fat.

In addidtion Stregth training burns more calaories over a 24 hr peopriod then cardio, the benefits of cardio ends pretty much when you stop the exercise, stregnth training continues as your body repairs the broken muscle fibers and builds them stronger.

Either pick up the 1972 version of Atkins, or visit the new atkins website, lots of information to help on approved foods per level.
