Hello hayley and carmen. I am new here. Have been doing Atkins since May 10 and lost 5 lbs... important to note, I am a breastfeeding mom and have starting in Phase 3. Keeping my carbs between 50 and 60. Hayley, I see that you are just starting. What's your story carmen?

Hello All Members of Trying to do Atkins Right! I grill lots of meats -hamburger pattys, chicken, pork chops, steak - and grill lots of vegetables too. I have recently learned to make cheese crackers in the microwave and they are just wonderful. Take parchment paper (no other paper will work) and break up a slice of DELUXE cheese into about 9 or 10 pieces spread out on this parchment paper. Microwave on high for 1 minute to 1 1/2 minutes depending upon your microwave. Ready when light brown and bubbly. Let cool and enjoy. You can add flavors you like before microwaving and the texture is wonderful. You may have to try a few batches in your microwave before you find the perfect timing.
I love having the crunch back with no carbs. Loving this Atkins Plan. I can eat real food and still love weight - my kind of eating plan.

Hello. I just started on Atkins (again) three days ago, but I have done it a couple of times in the past three years. I do pretty well eating mostly meat and vegetables. I try to keep it simple. Let me know how it goes! Induction is the hardest part (as I am remembering right now).
The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago; the second best time is today.

This is my second time doing Atkins, my 1st time I lost 20 lbs in induction and started receiving so many compliments I stopped. NOw Im back at it again, 25 lbs over my starting weight...

Hi Hayley and Carmen,
I have been doing Atkins since April 1st. I've lost 20 lbs. The first thing that is necessary is to read the Atkins book or go on the Atkins.com website to find out more. In a nutshell the lifestyle begins with restricting your carb intake to 20 grams which consist of mostly lean protein and vegetables. No sugar or flour. After awhile you will become very resourcefulSmile

The best advice is if you "fall off the wagon" than don't beat yourself up. Just start over at the next meal. Good luck

Hi all
I have just started Induction today, but I have been off sugar, gluten and all refined flours and grains for 5 weeks. I only lost 3kg doing it this way. I am so surprised to see how quickly the carbs add up. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing better results. I found an awesome website with the most amazing low car ideas! It's www.lowcarb360.com. I really enjoyed the cauliflower pizza base recipe! Does not taste like cauliflower but helps me eat it since veggies are a struggle for me. Keep pushing forward...

Hi all I started july 4th an its so hard starting on a holiday but I'm sick of myself getting this way .I'm a mother of five an now my youngest is sixteen so its time fore me .I did join the adkins sight too .There are peple there to too help .Plus you get a kit adkins.com .I'll try to help but new too

Wow those cheeses crackers sound good I'll have to try to make those .For a sweet I takea 1 pint container of heavy whipping cream an a teaspoon of sugar free lemon jello powder whip together delish you can put in a container an have it when you need a sweet .

Those cheese crackers sound great. I am just starting today too have had great luck in the past but got off and now I am back on let's do this together.

I'm back to lose the baby weight. My son is 6 months old. I can't do induction yet because I'm nursing but I decided to do 60-100 NC and see if it helps with my bloat. I have been gluten-free for years and cutting dairy also helps me lose weight with a side-bonus that it also helps reduce my seasonal allergies.

Love the food that loves you back.
