I'd like to introduce myself to the group. It is nice to join a group like yours with people dealing with similar problems. Mine is that I am 100lbs overweight, 120lbs according to the charts. I am on my second day of that Atkins diet and have kept my carbs under 20 so far. Tonight during dinner time, I forgot the meat at home for my salad and went out to the market and got a rotisserie chicken. I only meant to eat half of it but before I knew it I ate the whole thing. I have never done that before. Is that too much too eat? And also my head feels very foggy. Is this normal?

Hi,
Welcome....you haven't entered any food so it's hard to tell how your numbers look. Don't worry about what is already done..we have all done something that we shouldn't have, just make sure your next meal is on plan. If you feel foggy you may not have eaten enough today just can't tell. You don't want to keep your total carbs under 20...it's your NET CARBS that you keep at 20 only during induction. Then gradually work your way up the carb ladder. Keep your book handy and refer to it often, also keep in touch here there's lot's of help here. Be sure and drink your water..it does make a difference.
You can do this--just takes alittle time to find your stride--what works for you.
Wishing you all the luck....

Thank you Tofu, I will keep pushing forward. And I am glad to hear this from someone who is on the diet and has lost a lot of weight. I also get people who roll their eyes cause I have started another diet. But this diet is the first diet that has many parts to a plan with many parts and I like that. Keep up the good work and thanks again for giving.
