I am trying to plan out my menu for the week so that I make sure I stick to it. I am averaging about 1841 in calories. Is that right? I am at work and don't have my book with me. I know to little calories will make me fail. Is this a good caloric intake?

For most of one's Atkins journey, it's more important to focus on your net carbs, while still being sure of getting adequate protein for your height (see book for chart) and getting 12-15 NCs in foundation veggies.

If you're getting all those foods allocated properly, you'll probably fall quite naturally into a range of about 1500-1800 calories (for women), and for some women, possibly higher.

So, while your 1841 seems fine to me, the REAL point is.....focus on your carbs!!! Be sure they're in line and that they're the right kinds of carbs.....fresh, whole foods. Consider avoiding processed, so-called "low carb" stuff, as well as restaurant offerings. At the very least, be VERY cautious with their use.

And, you're right.....too few calories will NOT serve you well. Good luck.
