Winter is a bummer for the bike rider looking to make rapid strides in weight reduction because of the wet conditions. Looking at the weather reports and trying to keep the bike dry to prevent rust in parts and prevent injury are key. The outdoor bike rider enjoys the panarama and the ability to bike vaste distances in quality time. It is the great sport and provides transportion to work at the same time. It will keep me in my suit for my son's wedding if I continue to make the effort and control my diet.

I hear you, but I don't mind the rain, its the cold that really hits home.

Mountain biking is year around. I enjoy road biking and often commute to work (7miles each way), but also do biking for fun in the cold, wet Fall/Winter Seattle weather.

My bikes aren't high-end, so wear and tear due to weather exposure is not an issue.

I say let's get out and ride in the rain this Saturday!
