Hi everyone! I'm just starting with Atkins, but I believe its going to be a great experience. I'm looking forward to this! I've got a LOT of weight to get rid of.

Good luck to you! This site is full of very helpful people, all with the same goal! Keep us posted on your weight loss progress.
** Goal 1- 20 pounds- 4/30/2013
** Goal 2- get back down to wearing size 16 jeans
** Goal 3- normal blood pressure
** Goal 4- well below "One" Derland
** Goal 5- 600 miles this year in 200 mile increments
** Goal 6- Decreased back and knee pain

Hi Wild Rose...you are starting a great journey. I started at 267 and lost 8 lbs in 6 days. Today is only one week on this program and my blood pressure has gone down considerably and I have a lot of energy...at least most of the time. I have a long journey also (125 goal). The hardest thing for me has been to eat the amount of food I need to RDI 2000 calories. I have not made that much too, but when I was close I lost more weight, though that may be a coincidence...not sure. Do what it says and you will be fine. I want to hear you report how great you feel and how much you have lost, and I know you will. Get buddies who will be able to help you by seeing what you are eating.
You don't need to do it alone. I will send you a buddy request and accept if you want to. Good luck to you and read the book if you haven't.
