Many people are afraid to try Alli because of the unwanted side effects. Honestly, the only way you will see the "bad" side effects is if you do not follow the plan as directed. Any doctor will tell you that the most efficent way to lose weight is to keep track of everything you put in your mouth. With Alli, it is very important to keep track of your calories and fat intake. You have to choose a calorie allowence that fits best for you and stick to it every day. I chose 1500 cals per day. Also, you cannot exceed more than 15 grams of fat per meal, this means no more than 45 grams of fat per day. At first I was concerned about being able to watch my fat intake but honestly it has been pretty easy. There are so many products that you can use that are fat free or reduced fat. It really is a lifestyle change with a series of making better choices. I buy reduced fat mayo, cream cheese, and butter. Eliminating fatty foods that you use and don't even think about is what makes a huge difference. Using Alli and seeing the major results every day with no crazy side effects has been life changing. I have tried and failed at so many diets and it can really be depressing and make it almost impossible to stay on track. Please try Alli if you are serious about losing serious weight!!!

I just started using Alli again. I used it just over 2 years ago and lost 15 pounds...not my goal but I still felt great. Since then I have divorced, moved and started a new job and have gained it all back. I was working a low fat low calorie diet before deciding to go back on Alli because the diet alone was not working. My fiance started eating better with me and after 4 weeks he has lost ten pounds while I am still hovering at my original weight. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have used calorie counter for 2 weeks and have been so so careful with my diet. I have a moderate excercise routine but still no weight loss.

Any suggestions

cr2880, such as is the curse of being a woman. Losing weight with a man will always make you feel bad because they lose it so much easier than we do. My advice to you is to keep up the good work. Sometimes it takes time for our bodies to get with the program and start shedding the weight. I know it is discouraging to see the same number and no improvement with all your hard work, but it will come. Sometimes though you need to adjust your calorie intake below the recommended number for your age and weight. Just give it another week and if you still haven't lost any weight that is my advice to you, lower calorie intake and maybe change up your exercise routine. Your body will get comfortable if you are doing the same exercises every day for the same amount of time with no change. Good luck! Wink
