I have been on the atkin progam 9 months now. I have stayed on it 100%, no desserts, no sugar, no pasta, no potatoes, no rice and no soda, I am a very slow loser.
I have been on a plateu for a month now. Its slow but thats ok. I have stayed on the OWL . I have only lost 34lbs. So all you out there that are slow losers hang in there . I am lucky I have good will power. I dont crave any of those foods any more. My Dr. appt was a very happy one. My cholestrol, Blood sugar, blood pressure, and all the tests turned out normal. Thank goodness or I would have been on insuline and blood pressure meds ane could go off of colestrol meds , Beleive me it is worth it to be on a life long program.

Hi I have just started Atkins as it is the only program that fits with the type of food that agrees with me. I know I really should not eat wheat in any form as I feel awful when I do. ( bread is the stumbling block) I have done Atkins before and did v well but I realize that the older I get, the harder it gets and I REALLY need to watch the portion sizes. I've just started Induction. I was slurping away on a fresh coconut and almost died when I saw the net carb count- there goes my day ha ha but it brought me to this site. I will check BEFORE I eat. I'm in it for the long haul but I have decided to lighten up a little and not make my weight my focus. I have a lot of positives in my life and I can't allow my weight issues to cloud that.

I will be on this program the rest of my life. I have accepted that. I will NEVER go back to what I use to be. I dont think of my weight anymore I just make meals of what I can eat. IF I do not I will go back to being a pre diabetic, high BP, and jsut feeling like crap! I feel good now and dont think food is going to make all things better. thanks for your repley and good luck with your upcoming losses.
