Hi everyone I have been away from my fat secret for several months now My only son and his wife came home over Thanksgiving for a visit from Buffalo NY so it was hard to keep my diet on track. Then I got busy with the holidays.
Then on December 15th I got a call from my son's wife Beth. My son Bill died that morning of a massive heart attack at the age of 44. So first I lost weight then I started to gain it back . So soon I will be try to lose it again. I need to get my mind in the right place again and that is so very hard to do right now. Hope to be back soon. Oh Happy Easter everyone.

Sorry for your loss. That's a tough one. It will take some time so don't be too hard on yourself. We all struggle with weight, but you CAN do it .

I just joined this group and read your post. I, too, want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. While I have not been through the loss of my own child, I have lost many close to me. Most recently, my husband and I lost a foster daughter 15 months ago due to medical complications. She was only 14 months old, and it was very hard to take. We loved her very much. Like you, I lost weight at first. I didn't eat much just after it happened. Then I couldn't seem to quit eating and gained. In January, I decided I had to get this excess weight off and decided to try again. I'm rooting for you. More importantly, I'm saying a prayer for you. May God give you peace.

Thank you Ladies so much for your caring and compassion. I did get with in seven pounds of my goal before my world seemed to get turned up side down. Now I am seventeen pounds away but the weather is starting to get nicer and I will go out and walk more and maybe that will also help clear my head. Again thanks and good luck with your weight loss journey.
