My goal is to lose 40 pounds. I am tracking and posting my calories. I am also restricting my carbs, not abstaining from them. I was on WW and did lose the "first 40" but I was always hungry. I also did not like the weekly group meetings. My goal is to lose two pounds per week with sensible, small healthy meals and snacks; such as, yogurt. Cool

I too have 40 pounds to lose. I just started WW online, mostly for the discipline. I've messed around with WW off and on over the past 2 years, always regaining after I'd lose 15. Now back to my all-time high. Ugh!

Lost 2.5 pounds in a week (didn't post until today). Monday is weigh-in for me. Smaller portions, mindful eating, snacks 3xs per day (light and fit yogurt with frozen fruit, etc.) Goal is 2 pounds per week. WW on line may be a good alternative. I have the knowledge to lose weight (re: low fat, low carb, intelligent choices) and continue to work with the challenge of self-discipline every day. I encourage my 60+s to be supportive of each other!!! Yeah!!!

Hi Just joined this group. I'm also starting anew. I have about 35 more pounds to lose. I lost 25 last summer but with some health issues fell off my plan. I kept eating mostly healthy but gained two pounds back so still have a ways to go. Took a couple of weeks but used up the foods in my frig and freezer that don't fit my 1200 calorie plan and restocked with foods that do. Lots of veggies, fish, lean protiens, tofu, and beans were on sale for 39 cents a can last week so I have a supply. Back to exercising and trying not to be a couch potato in the evenings after work--I'm at a desk all day.

Enjoy the summer and the sunshine.

I was bad today. It has been a stressful week mostly at work--normal for this time of year. Stopped and bought some beer on the way home from work. Calories abt 1550 rather than under 1200 for the day. I haven't yet exercised but did do a half hour of energetic housecleaning before work this am-- mopping etc. mostly vegging tonite and messing with catching up on the compute. Clean house part is a good thing....going into the weekend with a clean house so I can do some fun things this weekend -- grandkid's basket ball games. Work on some of my own projects, and then a customer quilt all day Sunday. May do my taxes as well--will be a positive thing to get completed

Enjoy the summer and the sunshine.

I've started Walking DVDs again. I am up to a maximum today of 4 miles. My goal is to walk 3 miles per day 5x's per week. (DVDs are Leslie Sansone; some exercise DVDs are so advanced that I could never do them at my age. With her DVDs, it's all about the "beat"--not fancy foot work, etc.) Slow process; motivation--spring clothes and be 15 pounds lighter by then -- much more to go!
