Anyone have any ideas for healthy, low-cal snacks? I like plain yogurt with blueberries. And of course, any fresh fruit. But I need some new ideas. I get bored and then eat other foods that I shouldn't.

Put a little lemon juice in with the blueberries and yogurt. My favorite!

I have found two yummy snacks. I found a bag of dry roasted edamame on the store isle with the nuts and popcorn. It seems to have less calories and fat than almonds. I also tried Quaker Chocolate Popped mini rice cakes. They are yummy!!! They really hit the spot when I am craving chocolate.

Feng Shui Edamame by Roland? Yum.... and cheap.

I've had bad habits for so many years, my husband thinks it's hopeless. I was raised to only eat at meals and that's what my doctor wants me to do. Hard not to eat at the computer.

My daughter in-law has success by eating the low calorie fudge sickle bars from Costco. 90 calories, it think. My problem is I eat the whole box in a week or less.

Try not to use cereal bars as snacks...specially for those with diabetes 2 (insuline resistance), since the glucemic value is too high and they contain too much sugar and low protein. Try preparing small salads and just lemon juice and salt as dressing and you will lose weight easily and avoid snacking junkie. Smile
