Since starting the 5:2 plan I've really enjoyed some nice losses but I've known others who are doing this and they didn't see a loss or not as much. Since hitting my 40's I have noticed a slowed metabolism (I never used to have a problem shedding the few pounds I put on over winter). It seems to be getting harder and harder. A friend and I were talking and wondered if our hormones were playing a role in our inability to lose weight so it got me researching the topic.
I then found this episode of Dr. Oz where this woman recommends that everyone add hormonal balance to their weight loss goals. Supplements I added which supposedly help with body inflammation:
-Super Primrose Oil
-Vitamin D (I heard this is a hormone not a vitamin)
Again, I'm not sure what clicked but I thought it doesn't hurt to share this information. I'd be curious to know if anyone else has any thoughts on this or are doing something different.
this damn tracker below hasn't been right in months! My current weight is 139!
