Most tea has 0 calories. Herbal teas or flavored teas are awesome and calorie free, not sure if you can add zero calorie stevia.

Hi I read this E book called eat stop eat which advocates 5:2 intermittent fasting, in that the author recommends 24hour fasts, it seems fairly flexible eg if you start the fast after dinner at 6pm you would eat at 6pm the next day...I definatley want to give it ago my first fast is tomorrow, wish me luck

If you loved the book, watch the documentary that was aired on the BBC and on PBS. A recorded version is here on DailyMotion:

Hi- today is my fast day- you can have a look at how I do it if you like. I don't like to go to the gym or watch cooking shows(no Iron chef today! haha) on fast day, but other than that I just keep it at 500 cals or less. I've lost about 3 lbs. in the last 3 weeks. I had gone up when I went on vacation, so I'm about back where I started. That's ok for me. Also, I always plan out my fastday and print it out and tape to the fridge. Good luck!

Black tea is ok, but if you add milk and/or sugar you need to count that in your calories.

Starting my fast today, watched the great video, makes perfect sense to me in every way. Currently I have lost 20 lbs simply staying below 1300c but I want the added benefit of the metabolic changes the fast diet offers. I'm in 100%
Should I fast at 1/4 of 1300c or go with the 600c fast / 2000c feed. I want to continue my 10 lb weight loss per month. I don't want to revert to losing only 1.5 lb a week. What do You think? What is your average weight loss in lbs per month?
