Group Forum: Need advice on popcorn.

I'm addicted to 100 cal. bags of smartpop kettlekorn! Does anyone see a problem with eating a few bags on a fast day? Smile I don't think I can give up my popcorn. Although I did on my first fast day this past Monday, it wasn't fun and I really don't want to give it up.

Hi T. I'm no expert. I've only been on this diet for 3 weeks myself. But if you're going to stick to 500 calories on your "fast" days, that doesn't leave too much room for many bags of popcorn. How about trying not to have more than one 100-calorie bag on your "fast" days?

I personally savor my 500 calories and I would never waste it on popcorn (but that's me). I'd opt for a protein instead (more filling and no impact on the blood sugar). If I don't do protein, I do vegetables and fats (healthy fats). Again, personal perference, but my theroy if I'm going low cal, I might as well make it packed with nutrients.
