My name is Jenny and I have just joined this group, I have battled with my weight for many years but now as I get older my health is suffering so I need to shed quite a few kgs.
My current weight is 123 kgs and I would like to get down to 100 kgs

Jenny, slow and steady. The fast weight loss plans usually backfire and have us putting on more than we took off when we leave the diet. The biggest message is exercise and portion control. Old fashioned and not exciting...but it works...slowly but surely. Good luck. Just taking a walk around the block to get things started...Alice

Good advice Alice. Jenny, I have also battled my weight for many years. I started out at 124kg in Nov-2011 and got down to 100kg in Sept-2012 just by calorie counting and walking everyday. I am sad to say that since the holidays, I stopped tracking what I eat and do not exercise daily and have gained back 5kg. I am trying to start again today but it is hard.
Success in 2012.
