Trying to lose 15-20 lbs by March 15 doing Atkins. I'm discouraged and bored with this diet. Have only lost 5.5lbs in 2weeks. I was hoping for more. I am exercising and staying true to the diet......just frustrated......

I was on the Atkins diet for about 2 years. If I had my carb count down and still hit a plateau it was usually because I needed to add just a little more fat to the diet and/or increase my water intake. Loosing 5.5 lbs in 2 weeks is great! Sometimes the scales don't keep up with the number of inches you're probably loosing in your waste.

Thanks, I've gone up and down a pound for a week now....can't seem to break 160lbs....but still hanging in.... Will give this a month....staying in the induction phase....will try increasing water, I've only been drinking 48 oz water a day supplemented with other no cal drinks. A thanks

Changing a way of eating is hard but, it is an honest committment to continue. I am with you Aniece453. Been on Atkins years ago and it does work. The only one that worked for me but, as soon as I lost the weight I went back to eating normally like before not worrying about carbs. This time I am committed and trying really hard with my hubby to continue. He has 95 pounds to loose, I have 45. Good luck and keep your head up. There are others out here just like you. : )
