Yesterday doctor showed me x-rays from last year, "bone on bone, that is why it hurts so badly." It hurts worse this year more than last year, he said it is probably worse, no need to x-ray again. Also told me that kenalog is naturally produced in our bodies and would like to inject between joints. I agreed then came home looked it up on the internet, there is all kinds of bad side effects. I am wanting all natural no drugs. Wow wonder if anyone out there can help,with some no drug solutions, I may not have tried or thought of . I got more apparatus to wear to help keep ulna nerve protected from more damage. I have so many items for body help and protection wrist, thumbs, elbows, neck, back and nerves. I am thankful just I hate dealing with the chronic pain and having to be careful. I see what the elderly go through even though I am not elderly yet. Almost 53 to me is not even old at all. At least I lost weight and still loosing slowly, eating better, exercising more and throwing out the drugs. Except occasionally, when I just can not take it and need some sleep.

Hi, Lana J, Please read up on Magnesium. I've started that (a couple of months ago), and I believe it is helping. I will turn 55 this year. I also have occasional insomnia due to discomfort and I believe the Magnesium is helping with that too, although I still do not believe I am getting enough sleep. Cheers and best wishes.

Lana I take Magnesium at least 3x a week @ 250mg. It helps my blood sugar levels. I agree with above post research it first. There's a tea on the market called Sleeptime which contains Valerian Root which promotes sleep. Valerian Root can also be purchased in a capsule.

I'm partial to cod liver oil. Not only has it been documented to help with arthritis, but it also helps me sleep through the night. I'm not talking about "fish oil", but "cod liver oil". Besides helping with arthritis and sleep, it also helped me stop having "flooding" incidents when I was in perimenopause. The Weston A. Price Foundation is a great source of information about this sort of thing.
