I just started with this group and the fatsecret app. I don't know how often I will check in, but if I have the right encouragement I am sure I will more often. I need to loose at least 90 lbs. I am 44 years old and a mother of 3 with two grandbabies.

Hi all, fairly new myself. I am 46 with 3 grown children (and quickly learning that they never really grow up) and 3 grandbabies. I also have been married for 2 years and have a 14 year old step-daughter.

I crave support and love to give support. Hope this is the group for me.

Something that has helped me is understanding that my body really *is* different now that I'm older. And then accepting that my body is different. The acceptance part is the hard part. Removing wheat, corn, rice, and potatoes from my common foods has made me feel better. Understanding insulin and getting off the sugar roller coaster was hard and worth it.

Hi everyone,
My goal is to drop 100 lbs before I turn 50, in June.

I'm going the low carb high protein and am surprised at how good I feel. I feel confident of my success because this time I'm religiously tracking what I eat.

Goal 1 - Run half marathon in early June (run not walk)
Goal 2 - Drop 100 lbs total before my birthday in late June

I too am new to this website, plus I am just starting on my weight loss journey. I figure it took me a while to gain it, it will take me some time to lose it. I work full time and have 3 teens at home. I need to lose 50 to 70 pounds. I want to be healthier and lighter. I am doing high protein and low carb. I love tracking my foods so I can see what I have eaten each day.
Love what you do and do what you love.

Hi, I am 47 and pretty new to this website. I am doing Atkins currently. I need to lose at least 120-130 lbs. I drive a lot/not able to be active in my job except when I work from home which isn't often and even then I am mainly in front of a computer. I am trying to get more active. Watching what I eat. Tracking it has been a great tool for me.

im new here but not new to weight loss,im here to lose my last 50 pounds to reach my goal.i have 7 kids and 4 granbabies, another due june..single mum with 4 at home,im 44 nearly 45 in may lol...finding it tough to lose the pounds now ,exercise has to be increased to keep up the losses, but im so happy to be under 200 pounds for the first time in many years. This is my first time joining a forum and i believe that its the way to go for support and advice, and hopefully some friendships begin along the way..I love that there are so many people just like us living with the same challanges, all trying to reach our goals, and from experience i know its possible..new year new us lets goSmile))

Im new here too. It seems that we all have one thing in common. We all want to lose weight and we all need support. I dont have any advice to give but I promise to support all who are willing to accept. I too need support as I have no one else to turn to. I have three sisters. One has always been thin, though she has a warped relationship with food. My 2 older sisters recently lost weight. One is doing a program called slimgenics and the other, to be honest, is just starving herself. Unfortunately, they are all competitive with each other, and me, and they really dont want me to lose, because if I do, they wont be able to lord their weight loss over me. I know this sounds twisted but it really is true.
