I just turned 45. Smile. I'd like to lose 65lbs, but would settle for 40. I am a nurse & work 3 12hr shifts a week, usually in a row. The end of a stretch I am tired and sleep in extra on Sat. til 9:30. Any tips? I hate exercise but love my veggies!

I had to look at your name to make sure I hadn't posted this and forgotten. I too am a 45 year old nurse wanting to lose a similar amount of weight. My new hours will be Mon & Thurs 6P-6A and Saturday 7A-7P; Sunday 7A-7P, Tues and Wed 6P-6A with every other weekend a 4 day weekend, I am currently doing every other weekend but 3 or 4 eight hr. shifts during the week days. I definately sleep in on my days off. What has helped the most is finding easy to prepare protein rich breakfast items that carry me further thus less snacking. Look on the Biggest Loser website under recipes for the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I cook up the bacon on a day off and the rest takes less than 1 minute to prepare.
