After working so hard, losing 86 pounds & being the healthiest I've ever been in my life... my life is taking another much different turn. At 42 years old, I am having my first baby! So exercise is at a stand still right now. Not allowed to do much of anything, except for light walking until I get past the first trimester. Have to increase my calories & get used to the fact that I have to gain some weight again, which I've already started doing (Thanks to the holidays!). The cravings are ridiculous! Every 2 minutes I want something different & usually not very good for me, lol. But I'm trying to stick to my healthy eating plan, just more of it.

Anyone else over 40 & pregnant? Surprised

48 but I'll never be pregnant as I'm a man Razz I do wish you however lots of strength and determination to stick to your healthy eating plan. You are doing it for yourself and your unborn child and I cannot think of any better reasons for doing it. Keep up the good work!!! Smile

DD, congratulations on your pregnancy. I was curious why you waited so long. I am 40 and discovered recently that the reason I wasn't getting pregnant was because I had undiagnosed hyperplasia atypia. Getting treatment now, hopefully, my next biopsy is clear and then I will probably be put on clomid to encourage reproduction. I am truly happy for you!

@Verge2001 Thanks! It's a long story but, I was told it would never happen. And now I can happily say, miracles do happen.

That is just wonderful. I'm 46 and we don't have children but not for lack of trying and wanting them. My Doctors were still willing for us to continue to try but I find it a scary thought. Of course I'm a bit older than you. It is amazing when something like this happens and you know that miracles really do happen still. Good luck and Congratulations.

Thanks so much @JosieSD & @Leoart !!!

I have to say, the cravings are ridiculous! One day I want sweets, like red velvet cupcakes. Then I want cheddar bacon fries or Chinese food. It's crazy! My dietitian said it was ok to give in & have a cheat day once or twice a week. I'm just trying not to give in too much. Luckily I still get healthy cravings too like carrots or oranges. Whew! I'm trying to watch my added sugar intake because I don't want to get gestational diabetes. Or gain too much weight.
