Hi! I'm 42 (will be 43 in April) and started Atkins 1 month ago on February 1st. I am down 11 pounds since my start date and have now tapered off. It has really been frustrating but I have added a moderate amount of excercise and I think that's helping lose inches. I'm here for motivation and encouragement to keep me going. As we all know, this is hard enough without adding our ages into it. I remember when I was in my 20's and the weight fell off, now? Not so much. I hope I will be able to give all of you motivation and encouragement as well.

If it makes you feel any better when I was in my 20's my weight didnt fall off any faster than it does now LOL, its always been a struggle. About your tapering off... For whatever reason, Ill lose 5 or 6 lbs and then Ill sit at that weight for several days and I get very frustrated also. I try not to let it bother me. Its just seems like its always like that, Ill drop a few then a lull, but with patience I get back into the dropping stage, just stick with it! I'm wondering if these days of not losing while sticking to my diet are periods when my body is "reshaping itself". Atkins is a great diet, Ive done it for before and it worked great, every time my wife and I do it, it seems to just get too expensive for the food with the both of us doing it. We end up eating fillet, strip, lobster etc etc etc... LOL... Awesome food!
