Hello everyone,

I have been struggling with yo-yo diet/weight loss all my life. I am 46 and frustrated. I need to lose 45 pounds and I just can't seem to stay on track for more than a week.

We are going on a trip of a lifetime, I have been paying for it for over a year and recently I pinched a nerve in my neck. Physio is helping but I am running out of time.

The trip is to Disney in Florida and I am not sure which rides I will be able to do now. I am not interested in the really wild rides but there were a few like Tower of Terror and the one in Animal Kingdom where the "car" goes in the water.

i am recewntly new also i am 41 been yoyyo dieter most of my life wishing you luck i need moral suppport and i dont have it at work or home so hoping this site will help

Hello Everybody!! Welcome!!
I'm pseudo new. lol
Joined a while back and was on track and using FatSecret....then I got lazy. Sad My last entry was in Feb. 2011!
Now I'm back!Razz
I turned 47 early Dec. and decided that 2013 is MY YEAR! Yo-yo dieter, sort of, not really. Just watched (sometimes!) what I ate and often weighed myself.
My last entry, Feb. 2011, I had gone down to 209 (from 218lb) and I was thrilled! First time in a while under 210! A few years back, got down to 200 with Weight Watchers. The upside to this, is that in 2 years "only" gained under 10 lbs!
So, starting new....we're all new here!
Looking forward the sharing and the support we can all give each other! Smile

Good luck Lucee and everyone else just getting (re)started! I've had success on Weight Watchers, but after losing 20 pounds a few years ago, have let my weight creep up. It didn't happen overnight, but I'm in my 40s now and am over 200 pounds. I agree - 2013 is our year!

I'm new as of about 5 minutes ago. My weight has shocked me. Where did my energy and will power go? Everyone told me that the 40's would be a major change in my body (metabolism)and they weren't kidding. I am 42 and weighed in today at 181. I'm short and all my weight is in my stomach area. I hate my clothes and how tired I always feel. I am very active with my kids as far as they keep me on the go. I want to make some changes in how and when I eat and I also want to try to find time for some moderate exercise. I started a food journal today and I hope this will help me stay on track.

HB, I'm with you; didn't happen overnight. That means, dropping the weight isn't going to happen...we just need to keep remembering that!! But we're in the same let's not sink and keep paddling. Smile

Elsie - I have a friend with that name...I like. Smile

hi everybody, I'm new comer and basically food lover. I have been struggling with yo-yo diet/weight loss all my life a year ago. I am 42 years ; 70kg and need to lose at least 15 kg for my health.

my big problem on eat is related to my work, I did a lot of travelling and entertainment. I have difficulties to say no for dinner. I hope all of you can give me a good trick . I started a fat secret 4 days ago.

I have to restart again as I slipped. I am leaving the above so I can keep track. It happens and I have to keep learning. restart at 227 on 07/20/2017.

Best for 2013 and good luck with your dieting to you all.

Looks like I am not alone in this yo-yo dieting then. I did well last year and lost just under 20kg. I took a break over Christmas and managed to put on a few kg Smile. Time to try and get under the 100kg this year.

Hi all,

I'm new to the group. For the past 10yrs I kept telling myself "I'm not into diets, but really into 'healthy eating'" - cue 40lb weight gain! Being happily married, i.e. contented, and then 1st time mom at 40 did SO not help!! So I swither between contentment and disgust, between toffee muffins and rice crackers.... I joined FS last April and lasted about 2wks as my heart (and stomach) wasn't in it! Time to stop kidding myself and JUST DO IT!

Fab to see all the support out there. We can do it guys!

Hello everyone,

I am new to the group too. I joined online last night while looking at apps on my Kindle. My weight has rocketed in the last 10 years since my husband died. Between the grief and trying to raise our daughter I neglected myself big time and 80 lbs later here I am. My daughter is now 19 years old and it is MY TIME. I have been doing good so far. I joined the Y with a friend and we have been doing water zumba, aquacise, and water kickboxing four times a week. I also bought a book called Eat This and Not That and I just have to tell you...what I have been putting into my body is disgusting. So with that I am going to make 2013 my best year EVER !!!!
