I have been trying to lose weight since the birth of my first child...... 15 years ago! After three beautiful kids, I am 38 pounds overweight. I lost 20 pounds about 3 years ago on a high protein/low carb diet and I've kept it off. However, I am ready to try a 1500 calorie a day diet and 30 minutes of walking a day 5 - 6 days a week. My 15 year old is also joining me on this challenge. I feel I need to lead her to a healthier place. So far it's been like the blind leading the blind. If I don't show her how to be healthier, she will be on her own in 3 years, eating too much and not exercising enough. I don't want her to go through what I've gone through - the sadness, disappointment, and the feeling of defeat about not losing the weight. We're going to do it this time!

Good luck! you and your daughter. We're all in this together!
I've found that if I have to write it, see it, then I won't eat it. That's why I'm enjoying tracking my food.
Again...good luck!!
